Maybe if he had boobs.

I have been slow in mailing out orders to people who ordered from my store these past few weeks.  I apologize!  I need to get back in the game.  Speaking of which, the "Moving Sale" will probably end soon, what with me not moving any more!  Hop on those sales before they go away.

Preorders for the Ethan statue are over.  Those will be shipped out soon.  I didn't receive a lot of orders for this guy versus the other statues, so I'm gonna have to re-evaluate whether I should continue designing more of them.  Maybe I'll see if statues for Dumbing of Age are met with more interest?  We'll see.  Regardless, I'm super excited to receive my Ethans!

Moving has put a huge damper on getting Book 4 printed, what with my address being in flux and all.  But with things settled, that should move forward now.  I also still need to send out some of the original pages and whatnot for those who donated above-and-beyond.  Yay, moving!  You are not good for my job.

He knows a lot about history.

Threadsafe has posted some photos of my new t-shirts on their Facebook page.  The "Honor" shirt looks really great!  I might have to get one for myself.

A while ago I did a guest strip for Questionable Content, which turns 8 years old today!  It was a guest strip about butts. And today I have a guest strip over at Real Life, which I drew several weeks ago in anticipation for the birth of the Deans' baby girl!  It is a guest strip about horrible birth defects.

And finally (I think) in the new Transformers Collectors' Club magazine, there's a new Recordicons from me.  It stars Ravage.  And Ravage.

The day is here!  With Mike, Amber, and Robin now completed and out of the way, it was time for Patch Together to get to Shortpacked!'s main man, Ethan Siegal.  And after a few months of back and forth between me and the sculptors, he's finished and ready for prime time.

He's seven inches tall, intended to be in scale with the other figures, and he's $45.  The number of statues produced will depend on the number that are preordered.  There may be some left over, but, like Mike's statue which is forever sold out, the remainder will be very small in number.

This is our number one Shortpacked! guy!  Don't miss out on him.

(And if you still need Amber or Robin, there are only 5 and 12 statues left of them, respectively.)

Think I should have turned the brightness up a little on my camera.

Robin is by far the best sculpt Patch Together has done for me so far, but there is just one thing about it that bothers me.  She's not on a base!  She doesn't really need one, individually, since she has that big cloud of Road Runner Dust, but it does cause my brain problems when she's displayed next to the other two statues.  See, without the vertical height down there, she looks short, or like she's standing in a hole or something.

Here I've set her on top of the lid for our Batman (of course) cup coaster container, but since then I've bought a little wooden stand from a hobby shop for her to use later.  After I paint it black, that is.  Cost me 60 whole cents!  I'll update you when it's done.

Oh, and I should probably remind you that the design for Ethan is still up for voting.

Yay, FedEx brought me my Robin statues!  I heard through the grapevine (Twitter, that is) that Robin required some assembly.  This is sometimes required for Patch Together statues, depending on their shape, but my designs had mostly avoided it thus far.  We have a Monica statue from Wapsi Square that had to have its head glued on.  And Amber needed her corn popper put together and fit through her fists.  But no gluing yet!  Certainly not this much.

Anyway, fun story.  Because my life is a Wile E Coyote cartoon, I took one of her hands and her torso put two drops of glue on her wrist, and held the ends together for about five minutes.  After that five minutes I checked to see if the glue had held.  The parts came right apart, but my fingers, of course, were glued together.  Grar.

There's a handful still available!  Get her while she lasts.

I've finally got off my ass and finished my design for an Ethan statue.  Go vote for him!  Once he gets enough votes, Patch Together will start sculpting him and then we can begin preorders.

Robin, meanwhile, should be getting close to shipping out to everyone who bought one!

Your friend and mine, Zach Weiner, who you definitely know from Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal,  has teamed up with Chris Jones to create Captain Stupendous.  It's his first book through a major publisher, and it'd be awesome if we could help make it a success.  If you like deconstructed superheroics, give Captain Stupendous a look.

At the moment, I'm putting together the packaging art for the box for PatchTogether's Robin DeSanto statue.  The statues are shipping out from the overseas factory tomorrow, with expected delivery at the end of the year or the beginning of next.  There's only 20 of these statues left unbought, so you'd better get on her before she's gone!

Next I need to figger out what Ethan's statue is gonna look like.

And finally, today Something Positive name-drops Roz, because the name on her birth certificate is actually "that crazy girl."

Robin may not be a winner in the polls, but this statue is friggin' triumphant, that's for sure.  I mean, I look at it, and I'm like holy crap.  And then I say holy crap like 30 more times.

Robin's statue is finalized, and so now that folks can see the final product, it means it's time to sell this thing hard.  Not that I think it'll be very difficult, looking at this thing!  I mean, dude.  But remember, once the preorder price ends, a batch of Robins are made, a very small handful of extras beyond the number preordered are produced, and then that's all the Robins ever forever.  So if you want to make sure you get one, you have to preorder one now.

I mean, seriously, dudes, look at this wonderful thing.

Robin's available for the special preorder price of $35.95 until next Wednesday, November 10! On Wednesday, she'll be $39.9
