I had talked before in a comic about how Miko’s little figurine is unattainable in the United States. It was a true story! But through the help of eBay, I was able to buy a loose set of the three kid figurines from Malaysia. All said, it wasn’t that expensive, considering what I paid for them was what the big DVD Entertainment Pack set they’re a part of would have cost here, plus shipping. And now I don’t have to sell any extra unneeded Megatron or Optimus Prime.
I have the New York Comic-Con versions of Raf and Jack already, with their white NY-stamped shirts, but these are painted in their “real” shirt colors. As before, they have neck articulation and they can be separated from their stands. Miko‘s entirely new to me, though, as just stated! She too can be separated from her stand, but her neck does not turn. It’s probably ‘cuz of her ponytail, which would have blocked movement anyway.
Miko’s on my shortlist of favorite Transformers: Prime characters, and it felt incomplete to own Bulkhead without his little partner. Sadly, you can’t fit Miko into the gaps in Bulkhead’s chest, but not all things in life are perfect.

Miko irresistably reminds me of Sari. They’ve both got exactly the same attitude that causes them to leap feet first into trouble. And neither of them ever learns a DAMN THING from this.
Maybe they should have given her ponytail some articulation. :p
Heh, not at this scale!
I don’t know about most people but I actually kinda like Miko I think she’s a fun character to watch.
Then again I also am a Pinkie Pie Fan so maybe I just like Hyperactive characters.
My FiM fandom and near-zero familiarity with Transformers Prime means I can’t look at the girl with the pink stripe in her hair (Miko?) without seeing Twilight Sparkle.
Miko honestly irritates the hell out of me (oddly Sari does not, possibly because I feel she’s a lot more clever and resourceful than her), but hey YMMV. Raf, however, is adorable and I need to find that figurine of him.
I think Sari just benefits from being the only kid. Writers need something clever? They’ve got Raf. They need somebody stoic? They’ve got Jack. They need someone dumb and hyperactive: It’s Miko’s turn at bat.
Not that this should affect my feelings for Sari’s personality, but a good part of me admires her because she’s a leading female Asian in an American show generally aimed towards young boys. No other leading human males are the main characters (even her dad and Fanzone can be liken to secondary characters), it’s just her. Even better because she’s the target audience’s surrogate. Adding in a boy companion regardless of ethnicity would not have ruined Transformers Animated, but as a Korean girl, I have to give props to the writers for pulling this and having faith that their target audience will love the show either way.
I am always amused by Jack’s figure’s vogueing. Young Zoolander.
Since I wasn’t sure what I was looking at at first, and I hadn’t scrolled down far enough to see the figure in the middle, I thought I was looking at asian figurines of Marten and Raven from Questionable Content.
Heh, Jack could pass as Marten, couldn’t he?
AGHHH! I hate liking Miko. In any real world, this child would have died from doing SOMETHING painfully stupid before ever meeting an Autobot. Putting forks in wall sockets. Jumping off cliffs for no reason. Trying to catch thrown shis-ka-bobs in her mouth. SOMETHING. I realize she’s a cartoon character, but Daffy Duck could give her lessons in self-preservation.
She KINDA learned a sorta lesson in “Operation: Bulkhead”, but needs a serious lesson in NOT RUNNING INTO GROUNDBRIDGES!!!
Wait. Not “Operation: Bulkhead”. That doesn’t exist!
“T.M.I”
Nice. I rushed in to type without fact checking in a post devoted to Miko’s ability to rush into situations blindly. *Sigh*.
