       That’s not netspeak, that’s just bad grammar. They’re very similar, but one is pretty much exclusive to the internet and text messaging worlds, while the other is omnipresent.

         Empact probably meant that the person was typing this, and the comic just gave that line of words a connection to the image of the person. Possible, I suppose.

       The email addresses are used for the pictures that are next to your name. This site uses gravatars (Gravatar.com), and if you don’t set one up personally, it assigns a default gravatar that stays with your email address even if you change your name.
