I really must be insane. I liked Venus. Apparently no-one else does. That’s the yardstick for insanity, y’know.

I liked Venus. Granted I only saw her when she appeared on Power Rangers in Space during the Fox Kids era, but she was a good character

I’ve never heard of her. Did her shell actually form boulder holders?

That was one of the best PR IN SPACE episodes ever!

You know, for a given value of ‘best.’

Ehhhh, it was what it was, a crossover between the two big-named franchises of the US that tried to also promote the other TMNT show that Saban was making at the time…that was still embarrassing, as bad as the Masked Rider crossover.

And yes…her shell did make boulder holders. How…I don’t know.

I remember seeing those episodes of power rangers in space and thinking “hey since when is there a female turtle?”

I thought Venus was okay as a concept. They just stuck her in a really awful show and thus ruined her appeal forever.

Venus showed up after things went into the crapper that is the commercial sales geniuses.

    Begin Rant A1
Ok female, Ok turtle. A turtle is frickin reptile and lays eggs.
And having bolderhoulders? *snerk* love that term, it is insane since the shell doesnt exactly come off like in a bugs bunny toon.
    End Rant A1

I still have my Orange cover TMNT #1 and the rest up to somewhere in their dealings with the Tirceratons and space adventures. Somewhere around then the movie came out and it went from avante guard to toddlers in one go. I loved the old TMNT RPG *sniff*

It was based on another system, but it worked really well, honestly.

Obviously not tested for exploits, if balance is your thing, but if you’re a TMNT and RPG fan, it works really really well.

Then again, I occasionally re-read the intro to HoL to reacquire faith in humanity, so YMMV.

The TMNT RPG was written by a great man by the name of Erick Wujcik. It was not based on another system, rather used the palladium system that he and Kevin Siembieda worked on together and is fully compatible with other books using the same system(heroes unlimited, ninjas and superspies, etc) Unfortunately Erick passed away, and the world is lesser for it.

I miss my old TMNT SNES game. It was something I could be generally good at, other than Harvest Moon 64.

[In the British sentiment of "Get out of here!"] Fuck off! She was great. Conception-wise. Execution? Ehh… they fucked the cartoon after so long and unfortunately added her in after this were well and truly shit-covered.

Have a sudden desire to see a Final Fantasy 5 animated show. >_> Only because I want to see them put Faris in some super girly pirate outfit and expect us to be surprised she’s not a dude.

Yanno what’s funny? At the time of this comment, Saban put out the Turtles show that they produced. I guess SOMEHOW, they managed to hold onto the rights for that show, and Nickelodeon didn’t.

Which is odd, since while they don’t own Saban, they are capable of airing Power Rangers right now…

I rather like the idea of Venus De Milo, I didn’t get to see much of that show because I never got home from school on time while it was one but I always love me some female characters.
