The trilogy was fantastic. I despise the movie, although I did like Nicole Kidman in the part of Mrs. Coulter. Sadly, she was the only thing I liked about the movie. The fact that they marketed the film to kids pissed me off as well, as the series was obviously not meant for kids.
Actually the books were aimed at both adults and kids. Much in the same way as rowlings books. There is nothing to say it’s specifically for adults.
But yes, the movie was horrendous.
I can’t even sit through the movie. Which sucks, because I had such high hopes for the full trilogy. They didn’t even get to the best part, where Freddie Highmore (come on, you KNOW they cast him as Will) cuts dimensional portals with a magic knife!
Fantastic book series… terrible movie.
Agreed.
*nods*

Wait, what? Really? Nobody liked the movie?
I liked the movie.
But, then, I never read the books.
Don’t worry, it’ll all be over soon
*fluffs pillow*
But..but….polar bears in armor….yeah ok the movie sucked
Is it just me or does Judge Ruthifus look like the sort of guy who might wipe out a tenth of the galaxy or turn people into toys?
Chicken SHAPPED toys…
Which he would carve his name into…
He’d probably look better without the beard.
I think it’s the nose. Has to be the nose, for sure.
It was a Terrible movie but you forget armored polar bear
