   why is it no one can see through the costume of the heros to see secret identitys i meen all superman does is take off his glasses and rips off his shirt and suddenly no one recognises him as clark.

       Another of Superman’s powers is that he’s from the 50s and readers were more gullible back then and nobody bothered to change his secret identity as we became more savvy of the superhero genre.

     Actually Superman is just a good actor so no one could believe that any version of Clark Kent could possibally be Superman.

     Buts with superman its not just the the glasses and outfit that change though its…..kinda hard to explain but the the mannerism/behaviour/way of standing etcetera all changes. Its perhaps more noticeable in the movies than the comics particularly that first Christopher Reeves one. When he is Clark he is hunched in on himself uncertain nervous but when he is superman he stands tall is confident and looks people straight in the eye.

   The Sailor Senshi use a Pheremone based “disguise field” that was based on something talked about briefly between Superman and his parents in a alternate time line in a different dimmesion where his parents had disguised themselves as Clark’s Parents, and he and his father started brawling for 2 pages before his dad said something about their home world.
   … and there you have it.
