So the Machine of Death book which I plugged yesterday did super well.  An awesome little anthology book put together by a bunch of webcomics made it to #1 on Amazon.com's bestseller's list.  Oh my lord!  Super great, right?

Well, whoops, it knocked poor Glenn Beck's book off of the #1 spot for a day.  And this enraged poor Mr. Beck.  He called out the book on his program today for usurping his greatneass and denegrated it part of the "culture of death."

So I think we need to all buy second copies.

Hey, you guys know Ryan North and David Malki, right?  If you don't, you are dumb and I hate you.  BUT YOU CAN FIX THIS VERY EASILY SO NO BAD FEELINGS OKAY??

Anyway, North and Malki, henceforth known as Nolki, are two of the greatest people in the entire world.  Would you like an example?  Nolki is publishing an anthology of stories about people who know how they're going to die.  It started as a non sequitur punchline in a webcomic and it became reality through sheer force of will.  There's 30 stories and they're illustrated by venerable webcomics people!

What I'm saying is, you need to buy Machine of Death on Amazon.  Today.  Because I told you to.

Unless you're one of those contrary folks who will very strongly not buy it because someone told you to buy it, then I just told you not to buy it.

I have awesome news for you.

Meredith Gran is hopping from town to town on her Octopus Pie book release tour (this is a big deal!), and she's coming to Columbus this very Wednesday.  The awesomer news is, it's a joint thing!  You can come see both of us!  It's kinda last-minute notice, but, hey, we're trying to put this thing together with both of us on the road, so my apologies. Ah, the whirlwind lives of webcartoonists!

It's going to be at the Laughing Ogre in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, and I should have more details for you when we make our stop in South Carolina on the way home from BotCon.  I'll of course have book 3s and goodies, and Meredith will have her super awesome book with her and her winning self. Shattered Glass Ravage might even make an appearance.

Mark your calendars... for the day after tomorrow.  Don't think of it as a last-minute rush, but as instant gratification.

Hey dudes!  Jonathan Rosenberg, aka The Guy Who Draws Goats And Whatnot, has a new webcomic!  It's called Scenes from a Multiverse, and it involves you, the weirdos of the Internet!  See, every week he draws a set of unrelated strips that take place on various worlds, and whichever gets the most votes returns the next week!  It's like Web 2.Oh Yeah.  Jon continues to be a true visionary, awash in unfettered creativity.

Ten hours left in my spring convention art auction!

And on Wednesday morning, me and my local buds head to BotCon.  Shortpacked! veterans know what this means, though this year the usual all-weekend-long convention strips are getting a twist.  You'll see.

If you're also going to BotCon, I've decided to be less stupid than I usually manage.  Every year I'm met by a few dozen readers wanting to know if I have books for sale!  Well, no, I don't have a dealer table at BotCon -- that's be counterproductive to my goal of Totally Geeking It Out 24/7, what with all the panels and whatnot -- but I figgered I'd plan ahead and bring a  handful of copies of Shortpacked! Book 3 with me.  I plan to have one or two on me at all times.  Y'know, be prepared!  It's like my backpack will be Shortpacked! Express, like those mini-Pizza Huts at Target.  So if you see me out and about, hand me $15 and I'll hand you a Book 3.  I'll even scribble in it for you.
