Well, technically, he IS family… We just all wish he wasn’t.
I guess since Stacy’s probably not in the area, he was the closest family they could get on such short notice so they figured, “Eh, worth a shot”? At the very least, Mike could punch him in the face once or twice.
What TV has taught me is that women like to hurt the person holding their hands during contractions and scream horrible invective at them. They need a punching bag to let out their rage upon.
I would expect Mike to kill Faz, but only as a last resort. He probably sent him out to make everyone else uncomfortable since that’s the kind of thing he does. And in Amber’s position I don’t think she would object.
Which begs the question – who the hell let Faz in to begin with!?
Amber must be on medication for pain or something!
She’s high as a kite – it the only logic I can think that makes Faz being allowed in from the start make any sense! Did she just want a family member there and her mother couldn’t make it or something!?
Wait – maybe Mike let him in because he thought the pressure of having Faz in the same building (not to mention the same room) would somehow get the parasite out quicker!
Now I’m imagining the baby – looking like a chibi version of her adult, waiting-for-the-bus-with-Aslan form, glasses and all – crawling and dragging herself out of Amber, standing on the edge of the bed, pulling out the placenta with her umbilical cord while glaring at Faz, and then using it as a flail to hit him between the eyes.
Since she’s Mike’s spawn she might kill Faz the second she got one look at him. And while Mike wouldn’t object to post natal homicide he probably think her first kill should be worthwhile.
Well, considering all the possible mind f**ks that the good Mr. Willis could have sprung on us (IE: Mike walks out, a whisper of a smile on his angry, angry face, gently holding his new daughter … and bumps right into the newly-resurrected and more-than-slightly-irked Dina Sarazu, possibly with an eyepatch and British Ninja backup), I suppose he let us all of easy.
You know that meme with a bunch of frat guys or something expressing things and people stick things between the panels?
Those two panels of Ethan, Leslie and Robin need to replace it in a revival!
Yes, I thought of Gaijin 4koma (that’s what it’s called) as well, and based on @Doctor_Who’s reaction below, we weren’t the only ones. It would be awesome if tomorrow’s comic or whenever actually had Ethan, Leslie, Robin and Faz in that pose, but one can only dream…
[ORDERLY enters. There's blood all over the walls and bones stacked in the corner. FAZ is nowhere to be seen.]
ORDERLY: HOLY GOD WHAT HAPPENED IN HERE?!
[ROBIN, LESLIE and ETHAN all sit quietly, blood-drenched hands folded, glancing in random directions and whistling.]
at least that is one less thing amber has to deal with though why did mike and amber even allow faz to be in the delivery room. guess they will just have to wait and hope mike tells them the news and faz no doubt said that he may want to mate with the baby
Faz believes this is called a SIKE but mayhaps be spelled psych as well.
Oh faz, you sick f-…
You made that avatar yourself didn’t you… -nudgenudge-
Yes I did! ^_^
Under the circumstances it’s the best we could have hoped for from Faz.
I can only imagine what logic allowed Faz to go in there in the first place.
I think it’s because he’s next of kin, I could be wrong though.
Well, technically, he IS family… We just all wish he wasn’t.

Mike saw an opportunity.
Mike might want that job himself. Remember the time she chased Willis and Maggie with the popcorn popper?
Screaming violent Amber turns him on.
What ever Faz did to get kicked out, I do not want to know.
For being Faz, that’s enough justification all on its own.
…we jinxed…more or less.
Being Faz eems ike reason enough
He is Fez. That is his crime and his punishment.
I would expect Mike to kill Faz, but only as a last resort. He probably sent him out to make everyone else uncomfortable since that’s the kind of thing he does. And in Amber’s position I don’t think she would object.
Actually, that’s entirely plausible. He’s like the personification of Trolling.
Who said anything about Mike being in there? He’s an asshole, you know.
I want to know how he ever got to get in in the first place.
Robin appears to be expanding in the last panel. I think she is going to literally explode from rage.
My favorite’s Leslie’s.
That has to be my most favorite Leslie face.
Like the end of “Big Trouble in Little China,” right?
*spoilers*
Isn’t that a Ranma 1/2 movie?
That would be “in Nekonron, China”.
He looks so weird out of the Shortpacked uniform.
He dresses so normal…
Well, how did you think he would dress?
I didn’t think he’d dress at all.
I thought he wore the uniform everywhere.
Based on the comments it seems everyone’s assuming that Faz has pants on. Personally I see no evidence of this in the comic.
Fair point actually.
I don’t think I’ve seen Faz in street clothes.
First thing I thought of when I saw this was the Reaction Guys meme
Me too! It’s so a reference.
Not that I’m aware of.
But it works so well for that! See my comment below (once it gets moderated).
You for serious, Willis? Looks like classic 4koma to me. (Well, OK, 3koma. Or 5koma depending which part you’re counting.)
I also saw this as a reference. Clearly, Willis is so good at this that he makes meme references when he doesn’t even know the meme exists!
Or by sheer dumb luck he has remade the meme. Your choice.
Also: Omake Theater which itself points to the Know Your Meme page.
Ok, done posting.
“The Great Faz was hoping he could have this placenta as a souvenir of the happy occasion.”
the afterbirth will be put into my scrapbook of stuff that comes off Amber.
“It shall be filed between ‘pancake crumbs’ and ‘pubic hairs’”
Sadly, I could see him saying something like that…
Why would he EVER HAVE BEEN?
Which begs the question – who the hell let Faz in to begin with!?
Amber must be on medication for pain or something!

That is equally a hilarious and disturbing thought.
I think I saw that movie…
i would expect the kid to crawl back into its hole if it sees faz. and then amber would have 6 more weeks of pregnancy.
Well Amber is trying to be a good big sister. And Faz is less creepy around her now that he’s ditched the crush.
Still – aren’t they at all worried about the baby’s mental health. She’s giving birth in the same building as the guy…
His Faz-ness could corrupt the child!
She’s a MikeSpawn, it’s already too late
Since she’s Mike’s spawn she might kill Faz the second she got one look at him. And while Mike wouldn’t object to post natal homicide he probably think her first kill should be worthwhile.
They already share DNA, hard to get more corrupted than that.
I would like to think that Faz wondered in there of his own volition and both Amber and Mike kicked him out as soon as they sensed him.
It is so WEIRD seeing Faz dress casually. I think this is the first time we’ve ever seen him not in his work clothes or a suit of some kind.
I know, right? It makes him seem…normal…
http://www.shortpacked.com/2012/comic/book-14/01-deady-dearest/visitation/
But those are still formal clothes, rather than casual.
That still looks like a suit of some kind…
(badum-tschh!)
Maybe we being seeing more of Faz in casual clothes if he is ever introduce to DoA.
This time…
No, when Dina comes back she’ll be flanked by martians, and making out with Ruth.
They totally hooked up that that weird maybe-purgatory-afterlife, you know.
You must write fanfic’s of this, complete with deviantart-uploaded images. Immediately!
M Night Shyamalan would be proud of you, Caerwyn.
To be fair, if the first thing you saw upon being born was Faz it would scar you for life.
That’s probably what happened to Faz when he saw Faz’s mom for the first time.
Yeah, I’d think everyone would be pleased about sparing the kid that horror.
Hey, I thought Ethan got the Alfred toy for Manny. Why is he playing with him without Manny?
Lucas Cane’s so nice he had to buy it twice
I’m sure Manny gave Ethan permission to play with is little butler.
WHAT DID HE DO?
You know that meme with a bunch of frat guys or something expressing things and people stick things between the panels?

They’re actually video game journalists.
I couldn’t resist having a bit of fun with the reactions.
Here
And Here
And There
I clearly have too much time on my hands.
Oh exploitable!
awesome and awesome (and also awesome)
MAKE MORE OF THEM.
MAKE ALL OF THEM.
You do like to live dangerously, don’t you, Faz?
dammit faz, this is why you can’t have nice things
Who else but Faz-mire…
wait a sec…
So this is the…Second time Mike has been called “Michael”. Still weird as fuck to hear someone calls him that.
I have an announcement to make.
Why the hell was Faz even allowed inside the delivery room?
That’s more of an inquiry than an announcement, per se.
Why was he even allowed — yes, I’m sure it’s been said.
Wait. Why was he pleased to announce that?
Other than the funeral and burning his Amber doll, how often have you seen Faz not pleased?
I rather not think about what I think Faz saw that pleases Faz
I am dying so hard for the birth of this child it’s killing me
(I am aware of what I said shhh)
The phrase “Don’t go there” was made for this moment.
Ethan, Robin, and Leslie’s faces in the last panel are me whenever I see an update with no baby.
LOOOOOOOOOOVE!
…Exciting and new!
Come Aboard. We’re expecting you.
Any announcment Faz is about to make is never going to be a good one.
Plus I love leslie’s D: face compared to the others in the third panel, the other two look eager while she just looks worried…
It just hit me… Faz is the creepy uncle… poor Amber, this is just taking a lot…
Every family has one. If you don’t know who it is…that just means it’s YOU!
Come on Faz, you’re not really allowed anywhere.
To his credit, Faz did go at least 2 hours before he got kicked out. He must’ve really been repressing himself.
Maybe he just got there “late” too.
He was stuck in line at the “adult books” store buying a double-headed dildo.
Third panel – is it just me is or is Ethan looking at the audience?
I cannot be the only one who thought of this…http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/4461417_700b.jpg
No, no you are not, not by a long shot.
I thought of it right away, and laughed.
Faz does it again.
I laughed harder than i should have
nice subtle meme
I was hoping that if Faz watched the birth it might traumatize him so badly that he’d never even think in a sexual manner again. Just me, no?
Why is Ethan looking at the camera in panel 3?
What is the deal with breaking the fourth wall by looking into the camera?
Duuuuuuude. If he took her name, he’d be Mike O’Malley, greatest Game Show Host ever!
Instant. Favorite. Comic.
I’m just wondering what Robin and Ethan were expecting in panel 3. Nothing Faz ever says results in smiles. Although Leslie seems to realize this.
I’ve been having a really lousy month, and been pretty down in the dumps lately.
I needed a laugh like this. Thank you, Willis.
Wait, I thought Ethan gave Alfred to Manny. Why is he playing with it now?
I wonder what he said to get kicked out…
at least that is one less thing amber has to deal with though why did mike and amber even allow faz to be in the delivery room. guess they will just have to wait and hope mike tells them the news and faz no doubt said that he may want to mate with the baby
Faz isn’t bleeding. Mike must be afraid to touch him now.
I’m surprised it took him this long to be banned
I laughed out loud on reading this.
Then I read it again and laughed out loud again, just as hard.
You are quite talented.
Faz referring to himself in the first person.
MIND. BLOWN.
I was wondering when someone would make that comment so I could track them down and smack them.
Because seriously, he refers to himself in the first person pretty often.
After reading a few of the comments, it finally hit me that Amber’s having a baby. I am now internally freaking out.
Faz, your a creepy pervert.
Oh man, panels 3 & 5 are just begging to be 4-koma’d…
