This is a comic by my super-talented wife, Maggie. She was inspired by yesterday’s Batman #7, which is a comic book we both enjoy more than most great things in life. If Scott Snyder were a religion, we’d be popes.
She drew this for fun, but I figured I’d throw it up on my website tonight ‘cuz I wanted to share and I didn’t have a scheduled update for today anyway, so why not? Vacancy filled!

Yes, yes it is.
I’m Batman.
I became a believer in Scott Snyder starting from American Vampire… he is THAT good. XD
Yes. I’m Batman.
Toothless Nightwing!
Holy tooth decay, Batman!!!!
Considering how much they get punched, I amazed the costumed residents of Gotham don’t have utterly mangled teeth. Arkham must have good facilities for its patients.
Does Alfred have dentistry as one of his many “Patch Master Bruce up so he looks presentable” talents?
remember that scene in batman begins, where bruce and alfred ordered the materials to make the cowl? and they ordered everything in bulk so they wouldn’t arouse suspicion? they did the same thing with false teeth.
criminals may be superstitious and cowardly, but they also fear good dental hygiene. remember to brush and floss daily!
While I usually agree on the Snyder-Religion point, this latest story point bugs the crap out of me.
How long has that false tooth supposed to have been there? If “forever” then how come it has never become dislodged before? Or never shown up on an xray?
Reboot continuity. They don’t gotta explain shit.
False tooth?
What is this a reference to for those of us who aren’t up to date on comic books?
It’s funny, when I look at this comic, I don’t see Batman and Nightwing. I see two young brothers dressed in Batman and Nightwing pajamas and the older brother is trying to help the younger one’s toothache.
I know that would make it one small door, but so what.
Yes, it’s necessary. And afterwards, we need to weed the rose garden. Get your trowel.
The Rule of Batman strikes again. “Is this really necessary?” “Yes, Nightwing, it’s necessary. And, for reasons I don’t pretend to understand, it is also funny.”
Love it. Your wife should draw more filler stuff like this.
I’m beginning to believe the author has a healthy obsession with batman. Now I just need to know whether or not that is a closet door (of a really big closet maybe?) before I can properly pick from my list of inappropriate sexual innuendos to go with this scenario (I mean.. it’s pretty good to start with.. robin.. something long in his mouth.. grimacing from what’s about to come…maybe a few it’ll be over soon lines… *Sighs* so hard to pick without knowing all possible routes.)
No willis, only you’d be a pope, she’d be a popess.
First off, this is hilarious. Secondly, the actual scene in the comic is kinda silly. How on earth does Batman know his punch is going to dislodge the EXACT correct cap and not just one of Dicks teeth? (Aside from just being Batman as an answer.)
Also, I think this cartoon showcases why I’ve had a hard time with Nightwing’s new suit: The red just makes him feel like another Robin again.
Also, has Dick never been punched before?
I’m pretty sure the answer is “He’s friggin’ Batman,” as little as you want that to be the answer. He trained for years to learn how to dislodge a specific tooth with a single backhanded punch.
Heh heh heh. When I first saw this one from my mobile device, I interpreted that line as a leash held by Batman. Heading out for a night on the town?
Scott Snyder is some sort of magnificent Batman god. Easily the best stuff since the reboot. Of course, the trick of that is, nothing he is doing needed the reboot to happen.
