So I've been "opening" one figure at a time since my box set came, and I've saved Overlord here for 2nd to last because, like you Willis, I love me some Overlord after LSOTW. I was a little worried at first when I found out they used Bludgeon's mold, but really, now that I've toyed around with him, and have him in hand, I LOVE it. First of all, he's bigger than then anyone else in the set (as he should be) and bigger than most other figures save the Voyagers that he hails from. The head sculpt is AWESOME, but yeah, my nose chipped a bit. Not thrilled with that, but I'll cover it with sharpie. I also like that he can basically hold Universe Guzzle in his hands like he's tearing him in two. YAY! (well, except for Guzzle...meh, its fine, he survives.)

Yeah, personally I wish they had used Universe Silverbolt, but even that's not exactly ideal. With HasTak's resistance to making any large toys that aren't Masterpiece versions of iconic characters there's not a lot of hope of him getting a proper update. If he does he'll probably end up like Thunderwing....poor tiny Thunderwing.

Infortunately my main exposure to Overlord (as is, I'm guessing, a lot of newer fans) primarily comes from the Wreckers mini. And in that he has a really, really undeniable Roman / Nero / Cesar flavor to him. So when I see that *great* pouting head sculpt, I go, "ooooooh!"

And then I notice it's on a samurai's body and go, "buh-WUH?!"
