Yay, the 2012 Transformers Collectors’ Club membership figure, Runamuck, arrived in my mailbox today! That is super good, because not only was his inseparable buddy Runabout fairly lonely, but because it arrived before I head out to BotCon tomorrow evening. Sweeeeeet. (I will have a table in the Artist Alley again this year.)
I will say this: Runamuck (white) is waaaaaaaay way prettier than Runabout (black). It’s the cream and the orange and the gold. They’re just empirically more interesting than black/red/silver. That’s right, I’m stating it as a fact. Try and stop me!
There isn’t much left to say about the mold itself that I haven’t said already. This is my fourth version of it (Tracks/Wheeljack/Runabout) and I’m going to be getting a fifth version of it tomorrow night at BotCon (SG Tracks). It’s a good mold, so if I’m gonna have a lot of something, this is a good thing to have a lot of. And they’re all characters I like, so even more bonus. (Well, I don’t know what SG Tracks’ personality is yet, but he’s visually Road Rage, who I do like. If I end up hating SG Tracks, I’ll be happy to pretend he’s Road Rage instead.)

Yay! Mine came today too! Yay! I still prefer to transform them so the rear section forms their iconic “hoods” and keep the “wings” parallel and facing down like their G1 Arms. I’m looking forward to SG Tracks as well, I think he’s one of the better figures from the set.
YAY!
I don’t know what you’re smoking, because red and black are a great combination. To me, Runumuck’s colors look kind of sickly, like a weird-tasting ice block.
Red and black are done to death, it’s a color scheme that totally works, but I also prefer Runamuck’s color scheme for its originality. I just got mine today, and he has seriously shiny gold paint, pictures don’t capture it well.
I’ve still got my Runamuck from 1986. Mine won’t stay in car mode.
I hope you’re having a good time! Heh, heh!
Great figures – it’s a sweet mold – but I would’ve liked to see at least one of them get the Tracks-style front grill/bumper pieces, rather than the Wheeljack Stratos-inspired extensions.
I bought the Wheeljack version at BotCon… that thing is a bitch to transform, and it doesn’t look stable in robot mode. So it’s not gonna get anywhere near my kids for the time being.
Um….lol, what? Wheeljack is one of the most stable of all the classics transformed. His legs are wide and sturdy.
Maybe so, but it didn’t LOOK stable to me. Either way that thing is doomed in the hands of a 2-year-old, let alone an 8-year-old.
