Frankly, I think "Templeton Ferrari the Third" is the best name option for him, but it don't change how mustard tastes.

Yeah that was my bad, I came into the thread with an agenda. Sorry for being a stubborn ass. But I really didn't know the names came out simultaneously. Thanks for the new info.

Haha, well when I made that post I'll admit I came in with an agenda, and probably would've brought up the Blade thing whatever you said. My stubbornness, I'll own up. It just kind of gets me when someone's like "What kind of name is Powerdive for a helicopter?" when he has another, better name. But I really didn't know both names came out at the same time. Thanks for the new info.

The Rotorbots were released concurrently with the Rotor Force guys. Blade did not predate Powerdive. In 1994, Europe was playing catchup with North America's 1993 product, and Rotorforce/Rotorbots is where one continent's product caught up with the other's.

Also, fer the love of God, that's not what "to begin with" means in this context.

I'm not weeabooing out here. Walky asked a (admittedly rhetorical) question about why a helicopter character had an inappropriate name, and I was pointing out that it did have an appropriate name to start with, and that the inappropriate name was only used in one market.

"(Nevermind why the helicopter was named “Powerdive” to begin with.)"

'Cept he wasn't called Powerdive to start with. He was originally called Blade and was only called Powerdive in the US.

I think the Powerdive colors make more sense as far as "colors you'd expect this plane to actually be." Hopefully we'll get a proper Ransack homage to go alongside this great Powerdive. If G2 rotorforce Powerdive was a P38 and Ransack was a corsair, they would have paired up nicely. Maybe this Powerdive is what G2 Powerdive should have been, then his G2 rotorforce self could have 2 launchers.
This guy also takes the G2 light pipe eyes gimmick to the extreme, with his slide down visor which you can see his illuminated eyes through.

I don't think his colors are very Ransacky at all. If he were in Ransack colors, he'd be entirely purple instead of entirely green.
