Apparently Canada is lousy with the “Bumblebee vs. Starscream” entertainment pack. Which is too bad, ‘cuz the United States sure could use some! Adekii heard my pleas and graciously grabbed me one from the plethora in his neck of the woods, and now I have one and his stores have one fewer.
The set is called “Bumblebee vs. Starscream,” and it does come with both a Bumblebee and a Starscream, but screw those toys. It’s the humans I’m after. Silas, the commander of the terrorist organization MECH, plus a MECH trooper are included in this set, and this is the only way to get ‘em.
Unlike the Miko/Jack/Raf figurines, Silas and his buddy are all one molded piece. Their stands aren’t removable, nor are their heads articulated. Dang! But at least they exist. Human villain figures are among my favorite Transformers things.
Yeah, there’s a slightly-redecoed Bumblebee and Starscream. Whee, I guess. They can go in the pile. …along with the DVD that also comes in the set, once/if I remove it from the packaging. I have this series on blu-ray!

You know… if that Starscream maybe had a weeeee bit more black paint added to it… you could probably pass it off as Skywarp. Bumblebee, uh… Cliffju-no…
… Yeah, toss it in the box.
Hubcap?
Oh yeah! That could work. Or TF Prime Tapout maybe.
I guess they were going for the “Dark Energon” look.
Canada is also lousy with First Edition Bumblebee and Cliffjumper! Also some Arcee and Starscreams.
And lousy with PRID wave 1 with no sign of wave 2 ><
You STILL have First edition there? Damn, and people wonder why the US hates Canada.
I want that box set just for the Starscream mold, it’s the first Edition mold, but the entertainment pack is likely the only way I’ll ever see the First Ed Starscream mold in the US again. Couldn’t give a care for Silas, since apparently he’s not a human anymore.
I’m not sure if extreme pegwarming is really something to be jealous about. (Although the fact we got FE Cliffjumper TO pegwarm I suppose is.)
Okay, until I enlarged the image, I thought the guy with gray hair was Batman Beyond Bruce Wayne.
Any chance you could snap a picture of Silas & guy with the kids from the other entertainment pack? I’d love to see how close to in scale they are with each other…
They are in scale with each other. Silas and the trooper are adult-sized compared to the kids.
Late to reply, but thanks for the info!
What would a complete collection of officially released human Transformers villain figures look like? Would it include the tiny Dr. Archeville that’s in the cockpit of every masterpiece Starscream?
Bugger. And I would very much like those. Can someone smuggle a set down when the AHL players come back south for the winter?
I live in Germany, and this set were the only First Edition we got here (everything else is RID, and I’m still waiting for the release of Arcee, Ratchet and the Vehicons).
I must admit I wanted that set mostly because of Starscream. But Bumblebee is also cool, although his hip joints tend to fall off.
Really? I don’t have the Entertainment Pack, since I got the actual FE versions of them, but I find they’re the other way – I have to be very careful to keep Screamer’s legs on, but Bee, if anything, is too stiff.
Starscream’s joints are totally fine, only his forearms felt a bit loose after transforming him for the first time (which is also the reason why I won’t transform him again).
Bee’s leg fall off at the hip joint whenever I try to pose him or when I transform him. The front section of his car mode is a piece of cake, stuffing the arms inside is also no biggie, but making the legs forming the rear of the car… Aaaaarrrrrrrrgh
Either his legs tend to fall off, or they don’t click into the right place. Honestly, if I’d care more about Bumblebee (don’t get me wrong, I like him, but I like the other Autobots far more), I’d pick his RiD toy up since I don’t mind the differences between the two molds all that much (plus, the RiD one got that nice bright yellow).
I’m right there with you on the frustrating nature of Bee’s transformation. I can only get him to snap together properly back there about half the time…the other half I either give up and change him back to bot mode, or get him transformed, but with obvious gaps as things didn’t line up quite right.
But, yeah, I don’t know if it’s a FE/EP thing, or just the luck of the draw on each of our grabs, but I’ve had the opposite experience with their respective hip joints….Screamer’s legs popped off the first few times I transformed him, and have popped off a few times when I’ve knocked him on the floor. (He’s now only stable standing if his hip is slightly cocked to his right. There’s a lot of room for different specific poses, but he’s got to lean or he won’t stand…) Bee, on the other hand, is so stiff I’ve knocked him on the floor, and his pose wasn’t even interrupted below the waist. (His arms and doors aren’t so lucky, though.)
no points for Starscream being pink?
I’d say he’s purple.
