Something like this happened to me on new year's eve where I went to Toys 'R' Us and as far as wrestling figures go, there was nothing but an entire wall of Rey Mysterios.

It IS kind of odd thing though, in terms of pacing. This comic is like a non-sequitur jammed between the drama happening at Amber & Mike's place.

To be fair to Leslie's thoughts in panel 1, Galasso owns Toys"R"Us. He bought it for a nickel.

Also, I'd like to add myself to the growing Ethan-'n'-Leslie fanclub. This strip isn't their best interaction, but that was the birds-and-the-bees talk they had with Galasso, which will be incredibly hard to top. In the meantime, even though there's nothing particularly special about stuff like this - it didn't even need to be Leslie here - it's indefinably charming to just see them hanging out.

You're not gonna find these new Prime toys outside of Toys"R"Us anyway, far as we currently know.

I have a three year old daughter who has no interest in transfomers. That said, whenever we see a yellow car, she says:

"there's Bumblebee! He goes beep beep beep beep"

As collectors, we are sick of Bumblebee. Hasbro markets to kids. Kids are not sick of Bumblebee. Every little kid I know loves Bumblebee.

Naturally, this triggered my own trip to my local Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and Target, to see what they had.

Naturally, my local Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and Target had diddly-squat in the way of new Transformers toys.

Dammit.

Although I wouldn't call Drew a jerk per-say (he could have been a little nicer about it though - that's for sure).

It's a logical fallacy people set up -

If Drew is a "jerk" than Ethan is right! or They broke up therefore Ethan has no problem! Drew was just being mean! or Drew obviously had problems of his own (because of his overly empty apartment) therefore his opinion doesn't matter!

So forth - and so forth. Regardless they take Ethan having a problem to somehow mean all collectors have a problem and therefore he can't have a problem or ELSE.

They take this strip and only see him buying a toy - ignoring the fact that he had a logical reason why he wasn't going to buy the toy yet still bought it...
Every time he does this they chalk it up to impulse buys - either ignoring the meaning of impulse or the fact that controlling impulses is the problem.
