Yoda and Obi-wan were probably used to their ‘old’ forms. If I grew old and then died, and then came back, I’d probably see myself as the old man, not a young person. Anakin, however, maybe hasn’t felt like himself in a long time.

So maybe you appear in the form you’re most comfortable with? Thus, anakin’s the odd one out because he’s the only one who wasn’t satisfied in his old age?

Actually, what is said is that Anakin tends to take after the Skywalker side of him rather than the Solo part. In Balance Point, I think Mara mentions that his eyes are similar to Luke’s…Then again, he mostly hung around his aunt and uncle, and thus adopted some of their mannerisms, so that may be what she was actually talking about…Or it was her “I WANNA A KID DAMMIT. BUT NOT WHILE I HAVE SPACE CANCER.”

Ben just seems like his eyes look wise. And it’s only mentioned in Rebirth. Because A) Same book he was born in and B) He got put on a Bus for the rest of the series. Since then, all he’s acted like was a slightly-better adjusted-than-usual for a Jedi teen of two of the most famous Jedi in the GFFA.

Yes, yes. We know, Mr. Lucas. Anakin-Hayden was good and Darth Vader/Anakin-David was bad. But, Anakin-Sebastian was good also. And let’s not forget that Anakin starts being called Darth Vader before donning (sp?) the mask. So Hayden Christensen’s face is Anakin’s, but also Vader’s. He was Darth Vader when he murdered the Jedi children, and when he dueled with Obi-Wan; Anakin Skywalker was already gone.

Now, this explanation that Anakin’s force ghost looks young because that’s how he sees himself (kinda like Nea when he reenters The Matrix), is something I haven’t read until now. It’s a better explanation/justification that what George Lucas uses.
