I love that eighth panel silhouette there. Really accentuates that Leslie is making a very deliberate decision. And very good pacing in a comic otherwise already full of plot.

Claiming that Leslie “chose” to be a party to this, and subsequently has some kind of obligation to Robin’s feelings, is fact-averse in a way that is viciously unsympathetic if not outright victim-blaming.
However, if you look carefully at my comments you will notice that I specifically pointed out that nobody is claiming that she chose to be a party to the manipulation, and that that was a straw man argument.

What she was responsible for was her response to such obvious manipulations.

The point is, manipulated or not, Leslie made a choice. Setting aside that she’s a webcomic character, she does not lack free will. Therefore, yes, she does have responsibility for her own choices and actions.

What do you know, your comic from waaaay back in 2007 turned out to be true. Transformers movies now could be called “Buckets of Blood”.Or “Buckets of Energon”, rather. If someone told me back then that Optimus Prime would be responsible for spilling most of it, I’d have laughed, saying that’s Grimlock’s job. Sigh…

No she chose to use the exact same behavior as has always been expected from Robin as justification to force the break off that she wasn’t brave enough to do full bore the first time around, and is riding the wave of emotional confusion into a disaster with the a girl who’s barely out of high school.
