The cube hunt was on hold until Sam revealed his grandfather's glasses on Ebay. The Solar harvester was the contingency for the cube and was put on hold until the cube was gone and Optimus was killed. The Space Bridge was totally written off until Sam miraculously found the Matrix, the only thing that could revive Sentinel. Remember, all the human co-conspirators killed by Laserbeak were younger than 50. They probably didn't even start planting the breadcrumbs to the Ark until after the events of movie two.
