He doesn't care how anyone is uncomfortable as long as he's making somebody uncomfortable (physically, emotionally, intimately, etc). He hangs out with geeks, true, but maybe he simply gets along with them (sorta) because he gets a private arrogance boost knowing that he actually *is* a superhero (more of an antihero or even villain protagonist, really, but he does have superhuman strength). And he knows at the core of his being that he's better than everyone else, so it doesn't really matter which of his lessers he deigns to crush and which he allows to live.
