To be fair, we're in the comments section of a comic where commenters routinely call for the death of characters after they exhibit any kind of human flaw.

If Barbara sees it as a waste of her time and energy to go the route of healing her paralysis, that's her right and I'm sure her dad would be proud of her for making a decision that makes her happy. You only have so much time on this earth and if she wants to use it as eyes, ears, and brains of the JL rather than another cape, that's a valid choice. Physical therapy and surgery is a huge commitment.

However, she generally seems to be written as wistful about her condition and missing the ability to be athletic as she used to be, so I'm skeptical about the truth of the above paragraph I just typed. But my point still stands.

They're fictional. They have as much or as little "experience" as a writer gives them.

I hate Barry being the Flash again. I loved Wally as the Flash, and come on don't give up everything just to never show up. Wally was a hero for more years than Barry. Yes I am counting his sidekcik years, but he still has more experiecnce than Barry throughout all the years he's been playing a hero. he's been doing this for over 40+ years. Barry was doing it for 30 years, and then died for 20+. So yeah Wally has more experience, but nope gotta have old characters back.

As far as I remember Barbara didn't want to use technologi that wasn't open to the general public. Isn't that in a birds of prey issue?

I don't know... I mean, I get where you're coming from. In the world of comics that's not really considered flying. But in the real world... being able to propel yourself through the air over great distances without falling... that's flying.

Don't know much about Wally, but the math of that certainly checks out. Wally made his debut as Kid Flash in '59. Barry made his debut as The Flash in '56.

Not that I have much of a stance on it, but Barry really didn't spend long as a solo act before getting his sidekick. Entered the main Flash publication in I believe it was '88 and went five issues before accidentally getting his girlfriend's nephew zapped and bathed in chemicals. They were kind of a matched set in that sense.

May I just say that Flashpoint 2 makes that story extra fun?
