I think the sound *I* just made is most accurately described as a cackle.
The sound I made was more like ‘Bwahahahahahahaha!’ Which really confused everyone at work.
The laugh I made makes me glad I was at home when I read this.
Time to appreciate the washable keyboard and screen once more, but its stall sad when coffee goes to waste.
Well, I’m a long time reader, although I never commented before, but I couldn’t possibly let this one go without adding my praise.
I’m not someone who quickly laughs out loud at something. I might smile, I might even chuckle a bit, but I don’t laugh out loud. This however, this literally had me laughing until the tears rolled down my cheek and then some.

You know, Drew going along with this and seeming at least somewhat enthusiastic/interested is a pretty big sign that, although he may not quite understand Ethan’s destructively obsessive hobby, he’s at least supportive.

Exactly. I mean, I can’t imagine Ethan bottoming when he’s cosplaying as Batman and Drew is the Riddler. That’d just be out of character.
The only time we saw Batman roleplay (that I can remember), Ethan was the Riddler, though.
Still, this doesn’t mean they can’t switch sometimes.
Well the way powerlinking really works is that the minicon has the hole that the deluxe, mega or ultra plugs into with his 5mm peg. So that would make Drew the one with the hole and Ethan the one with the peg.
I knew there’s something fishy about Powerlinking.
I like the pacing of this comic strip. Well done.
So this is a storyish week but MWF. Or it’s a non-story week that just happens to feature two sequential Botcon-themed strips.
Man, I give up.
But yeah, it is nice to see Drew making a serious effort here. I particularly like his Osama joke and the slightly desperate expression that accompanies it. It can’t be easy to say anything that sounds witty and insightful, when you don’t speak Transformer-ese, and you’re approaching a gathering that speak almost nothing else.
Eh, I’m indifferent to how often the strips post. Obviously, the more often and regular they post, the more often and regularly I visit. But whatever.
What I really want to if Mini-Con is actually a registration level at Botcon.
It is, and this is basically a perfect example of the kind of situation it’s meant for.

I am both awed and terrified by this strip.
I’ll only say that I hope someone’s cannon doesn’t misfire at the worse possible times, or others not at all and leave it at that.

Not any of the souvenirs, just guys in the set that we already knew about. If something we know about shows up on eBay before it’s out, that’s not a leak, that’s just something that’s stolen.

This may be one of my favorite comics you have ever done. Good job, sir.
I literally fell out of my chair laughing.
However, this reminded me of a story.
A friend of mine was at this house party one time and he house had a P.A. system in it. we’ll he was getting hot and heavy with this girl when he heard the P. A. buzz. It was two stoner upstairs talking about transformers and arguing over the name of the transformer that Orson Wells did the voice of in the 80s movie. They buzz him 6 or 7 times and by this time the girl is going down on him and he gets fed up with the interuptions and shouts back “UNICRON!!!”
and the blonde he’s with looks up at him and says “that’s not my name.”
This reminds me of the BotCon party where I got drunk on Doug’s super-beer and spent the evening explaining to another Doug how hard it is to write Armada fanfic without homoerotic undertones. Of course, NOW I’d add EXTRA homoerotic undertones.

On a more serious note, it’s great to see Drew and Ethan going to something like this together. Drew’s a really sweet guy to be as supportive with Ethan’s hobby as he is when he doesn’t share the same enthusiasm. Aww heck, Drew just seems to be a really sweet guy period.

Oh dear god no. I’ve run through the entire Shortpacked! backlog. At the rate I was burning through the archives I knew it was a eventuality, but our calculations didn’t place 0 Hour anywhere near this soon. I’m completely caught up on Shortpacked!, I’ve read through all of Roomies! and It’s Walky!, and I’m current on Dumbing of Age as well. I guess there’s only one thing I can do: buy Joyce and Walky. That’s fine, I guess. Shortpacked! was really just sating my hunger for more Joyce/Walky related antics… I just thought I had more time…..
(Though I will say even though I just started reading Shortpacked! to fill the Joyce and Walky shaped void, I have genuinely come to adore the entire cast…)
