Nope, Sisyphus got the boulder.

Indeed it was but it was, serendipitously, the aptest of allegorical analogies. Because now, Sydney is in control of a huge boulder–but not one that she can crush her enemies with. And she’ll be rolling that boulder TWO years! Is that Hades or what?

A large part of the point of Sydney Yus is that she’s so painfully one-dimensional. She doesn’t have any characterization except as “that girl who wants to destroy Shortpacked! because her position as a seasonal helper didn’t translate into a full-time job”.

In her intro strip, she was wearing a Shortpacked! uniform because she was an employee. The reason she continues to wear one in every other appearance is simple: she doesn’t deserve the originality of a costume change.

But for there to be world peace, as in no international conflict at ALL, that means that all debts must’ve been paid off, which in turn means the economy must’ve been fixed. My guess is that all conversations now are on how to make Robin’s legislative measures sustainable.

Yep, pretty much what I figured would happen to Sidney. “A prison of her own making” indeed. Thank you for showing it though. Always good to see the villains get their’s. Still, I imagine she could still get some measure of revenge by spearheading legislation to overture the DeSanto/Manley Act. After all, if the Republicans in the real world would make trying to overturn Health Care a priority over the economy, in the Shortpacked! universe, I’m sure they’d consider dismantling world peace just as important.

Still, good question about the economy is still in trouble if it’s the world’s a utopia now?

Hey Doofenschmirtz has a few things in the plus column:

      1) He has his own corporation which seems to be doing pretty well since he is able to afford to build some new crazy gadget every week.

      2) He has a daughter which means he’s probably had more sex than Sydney Yus.

      3) He knows his limitations and only attempts to assert his evil rule over the Tri-State Area.

Bah, just pass a bill giving tax incentives to the big toy store chains. Sure it will drive ALL the independents out of business since they won’t be able to compete against even lower prices. Sure it’s even more evil than just shutting down Galasso’s store. Of course, Sydney is too dumb to think of it so no worries.

This is weirdly bugging me, but representatives and senators don’t have offices in the Capitol building. Senators are in the office buildings to the north, and representatives are in the office buildings to the south. There’s a network of tunnels under the Capitol that they take to go to chambers and place a vote. But a freshman representative wouldn’t be able to get an office with a view of the Mall. It’s all done by seniority, with the Speaker of the House getting the office that’s underground and closest to the chambers, but the rest of the high-ranking reps taking the offices with nice views.
