Here’s the guys from that final Justice League Unlimited seven-pack I mentioned a few days ago.
I was very excited to receive them.
Or something.
I have some brief comments. First of all, man, the scale for these guys is all over the place. I’m not sure who The Creeper can plausibly stand next to without looking like a pinhead, but it sure ain’t Johnny Thunder, human titan. And who the hell is that sea monkey he comes with?
Ah well.
At least Speedy has a fish face.

The Sea-Monkey is the Thunderbolt, Johnny Thunder’s Genie. They’re a team: The Thunderbolt is pretty much all-powerful, hailing from the same dimension as the Superman foe Mr. Mxy-however-the-hell-you-spell-the-rest of-that, but he can’t use his abilities on his own, he needs Johnny Thunder to make wishes/command him in battle.
He was a WWII/JSA hero, and in DC Continuity before the reboot, had been succeeded by young Jakeem Williams, who inherited the Thunderbolt and joined the new JSA as Jakeem Thunder.
Yes, but he looks like a sea monkey.
true enough!
In my defense, I wrote that up before noticing you included a wiki link for Johnny Thunder.
Is this Justice League For The Cure? That’s an awful lot of pink.
Only Thunderbolt, really. The reds kind of came out that way in my photograph.
That’s a nice Red Robin.
And this is why Dr. Mid-Nite should’ve come with an owl.
Dammit, I wanted to make that joke.
Um, “have”, not “has” in panel 2, unless you’re a lolcat. In which case, it’s “haz”.
Okay, grammar troll signing off.
I think you meant to comment to the comic, not the toy post.
Dave, does this mean that if you so wanted, you could now compile a photo of JL Detroit in full JLU glory?
…if you so wanted?
