As far as I was concerned, this was a straight-up war action. His mentor and his arch enemy lie at his feet, defeated by his own hand (singular), but he has maintained the alliance that the humans discarded so ridiculously quickly.

The 3D was superb; I only saw two or three converted shots, and they were all establishing shots. The rest were filmed 3D, or were so good at being faked they might as well have been.

And yet all I could think of toward the end was, won't it be amazing in 20 years when the Bay-equivalent of the future is picked to make a high-fantasy epic live-action Lord-Of-The-Rings-style Friendship Is Magic? With the CGI available in the future, it'll be indistinguishable from real horses dyed colors.

Credits roll:

BIG NAME DIRECTOR

BIG NAME EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

INSPIRED BY HASBRO'S MY LITTLE PONY TOYS

I may have been a bit too close to the screen, as I left the theater with no face.

(I also find the dirty/clean paradox a little frustrating in abstract. Apparently it's because the cars have to be clean because Chevy demands it, but the robots look kinda fakey if you render them that clean, so soot and grime is necessary in that mode. So whatcha gonna do.)

TF4 still has many possible yet unseen villains to choose from.

A few big baddies are:
Unicron
Sixshot
Galvatron (whether as a reformated Megatron or as his own character)
Thunderwing
Nemesis Prime

And some of the slightly less baddies to accompany them:
Cyclonus
Scourge
Thundercracker
Skywarp
Trypticon
Predacons

And I am sure there are many others I missed.

I really enjoyed the movie, tho I might have been a bit too close to the screen, as I left the theater feeling like I had just been assaulted. My one question is: How do the bots go from being clean, shiny cars one second, to dirty, dingy, banged up robots the next, and then back to clean shiny cars, especially after an hours long, climactic battle in the middle of a destroyed city?

Hey, what happened to Barricade at the end? I didn't see him get killed, it was kind of hard to keep track of who was being shot at and who wasn't.

(I like to think he escaped again, and is still roaming the Earth, waiting for another shot at LadiesMan217.)

Or, you know, any kind of battle at all.

"Megatron! Finally, our eternal battle shall come to-- oh. Oh, crap. I thought you were ready. Uh...well...FOR CYBERTRON!"
