It’s Ironfist! He was the attendee exclusive figure! If you bought a BotCon box set and came to the convention, he was yours for free! Oh my lord! Oh holy crap!
He’s Autotrooper, but in orange and teal! AND HE’S IRONFIST. Who knew that Autotrooper’s head painted up differently was like the perfect Ironfist! Seriously, mo’fo’in’ Ironfist!
IRONFIST.
Like, Last Stand of the Wreckers style! ANIMATED LAST STAND OF THE WRECKERS IRONFIST.
Never has a more beautiful set of words been strung together. Never ever. This toy is my pride and joy.
Excuse me while I go change my pants.

Agreed.
Is it just me, or does the shade of orange look better in these pics than some of the ones floating around from Botcon?
How close to the actual orange are these?
I would say this photo’s orange is pretty accurate. Its like a desaturated creamsicle orange. The blue in this photo is less green than the actual toy.
Not bad.
While it wouldn’t be fun to try and buy one, I still wish that BotCon had Animated Thundercracker. At least there would be an official Animated Thundercracker out there to hunt.
There’s been an official Animated Thundercracker since 2008: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Image:Animated_Thundercracker_toy.jpg
That doesn’t count and you know it.
Why doesn’t it count? I’m happy with it. I don’t need another. And I sure as fudge would choose Ironfist over a dumb clone I already have a toy of.
(BotCon couldn’t have made it anyway! Hasbro wouldn’t let them use the tooling from unreleased molds like Hydrodrive Bumblebee or Jetpack Prime, much less unreleased product itself! Hasbro’s still trying to get those things into stores.)
There is no place for Voyager Animated Thundercracker. Where would Hasbro sell the it?
As a store exclusive, same as with the two waves of Deluxes they sent Toys”R”Us. No matter what, though, they’re offlimits to BotCon. Until some unknown point in the future, Hasbro considers Thundercracker and his accompanying Bulkhead redeco to be product they want to get out in stores somehow.
I’m so freakin’ happy they didn’t make a Slipstream. I love my Activator Seekers, the ones released in America at least.
Don’t suppose this Animated BotCon brought any new news about the status of those yet-unreleased goodies?
I loved Ironfist too Walky, but I was offered $100.00 for him so I took it.
IF there hadn’t been that Shadow Scythe Fansproject armor there for about half of the Ebay prices I wouldn’t have sold him at all.
But as much as I loved Ironfist, I had the AutoTroopers and I have the first Ironfist from the LightFormers subset from the UK so I am pretty lucky in that regards.
Glad you like him tho. He realy is a nice figure.
Get him back for thirty bucks!: http://cgi.ebay.com/2011-Botcon-Attendee-Excl-FISITRON-IRONFIST-Wreckers-/120735270711?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1c620737#ht_500wt_922
I harbor perverse toy lust for Animated Ironfist. He WILL be mine – whenever I have free cash next. September, maybe. Or October. Or next april, with my Tax Return…
This toy is so awesome, I fought auction after auction on ebay to win one, and finally won one for 62$. There’s be some going for better deals down the road, but winning it for that low after the last bunch ended at over 75$, makes me a happy camper.
Seriously. This makes my inner fanboy AND my outer fanboy just giddy.
I;m been reading this comic for years… and yet… it’s just a plastic toy. I get being excited about toys, the cool little things they can do or the nostalgic value. But I never get the devotion that Willis has. I always feel so isolated.
You obviously haven’t read “Last Stand of the Wreckers.” Ironfist is Willis (aside from the unhealthy love of Hot Shot, and then only because Hot Shot isn’t a Wrecker [yet]).
Not sure why, but this guy reminds me of Omega Spreem. Must be the color scheme.
Unfortunately I’m in New Zealand and broke and 16, so I can’t get this. And I agree, Willis. This toy is the fragging awesomeness. I lust after it like Japanese lust after schoolgirls (wait, maybe not…)
Nick Roche’s art is slightly similar to Animated and Animated Ironfist has LSTW Ironfist ‘s backstory, so I call it a full circle.
Still bugs me that they sculpted Ratchet’s war wound into this mold. Cybertronian Ratchet didn’t have his chevron broken, so he shouldn’t have the wound, and none of the three other characters this mold’s been used for have it, either. Oh well. Still gotta get me some Autotroopers, so Sentinel has some yes-men to prop up his ego.
Also ISO Toxitron, because he am bizarro. The rest I’m fine without, pending wider release of the fiction in which they appear. Was the comic any good? How’d it compare to The Arrival?
Sorry for not being a big Transformers guy, but when I saw the word “Ironfist” I immediately thought of Marvel’s kung fu superhero.
