‘Cuz folks need to know Duncan’s ongoing feelings on all things BotCon Thundercracker! Â Equally as important as catching up with Conquest or that black guy.

I still think someday Ethan is going to Tucson to take delivery on an Air Force-surplus F-15 Eagle just so he can park it in front of his place. Probably in Starscream markings.
The G1 Transformers based on the F-15 that I remember off the top of my head: The Seekers–Skywarp, Starscream and Thundercracker; the Seeker Redos–Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet; the Aerialbot Air Raid. I’m sure there have been more since. The GoBots Leader-1 was also based on the F-15, IIRC.
Here’s the list of F-15 guys from the “Popular alternate modes” page on the wiki:
*G1 Starscream / G1 Skywarp / G1 Thundercracker / G1 Sunstorm / G1 Ramjet (heavily modified with design elements from an F-16XL) / G1 Dirge (modified) / G1 Thrust (modified with VTOL fans in wings)
*G1 & G2 Air Raid
*Talon / Moon Jet
*Acid Storm / Shattered Glass Thundercracker
*Jet
(Yeah, a guy named “Jet.”)

A friend and I were just looking up the A10-Thunderbolt the other night because of Powerglide, and I was remarking that it would be cool to have a list of all the different TFs that used this design. I should have known the TF wiki would have a list, but I didn’t think to check. Thanks for the link!
Eh, Duncan never said he was mad about the first Botcon Thundercracker because he was “too important a character for Botcon to do.” He was mad because he wanted a complete set of Classics Seekers at retail prices, as opposed to overly expensive convention exclusives he have to buy for even higher prices on the secondary market. And at the time Hasbro was saying that wasn’t going to happen, because as far as they were concerned, the 2008 Botcon set completed the Classics Seekers.
Frankly, I can’t help but think that to some degree, it WAS the insane eBay prices the Botcon Seekers were going for, as well as the bitching of fans like Duncan about it that led Hasbro to decide to release retail versions of Dirge, Thrust and Thundercracker. So by all means fellow fanboys, keep bitching away! Because sometimes it works!
Maybe it works? I once wrote a polite e-mail to Hasbro saying they should make a Cobra Commander with a chrome face mask. Hasbro did just that a couple of years later for the 25th anniversary G.I. Joes.
