I gave in to my chattering inner demons and got iGear’s replacement Kup head. It’s the one that’s colored to match the eHobby redeco of him that I prefer because of all the bright teal. You actually get two heads, one with the cy-gar and one without, plus a tiny screwdriver. These both are snug inside some foam inside of a plastic box that fits perfectly in Kup’s truck bed. A nice touch, but that feature probably won’t ever be used by me.
It’s not that the original head was offensive to me. Some folks think it looked terrible, but I never minded it too much. It looked like Kup and it matched the body well. But having the cy-gar in his mouth trumps everything. For serious. (It doesn’t hurt that the new head looks like Guido Guidi‘s art, though, that’s for sure.) I just like cy-gars. They’re great props that can add personality to Transformers. I made sure that Commissioner Garboil had one, for example. I mean, can you even BE a head of law enforcement without a stogie? I’m pretty sure you can’t.
Only one flaw here however and thats TRANSFORMERS never promoted smoking
Then maybe the leader of the good guy robots shouldn’t be a semi truck with huge smokestacks.
Thank Nick Roche for that, otherwise that “Cy-Gar” would still be considered by most if not all to be “Outback’s Thumb”.
If Igear wanted to go the extra mile, though… they could’ve put an extra lid on the carry box that showed rows and rows of extra Cy-Gars.
Does this imply that a review for the Headrobots Blood Dark Warrior upgrade might be forthcoming? The one for Bludgeon?
I got this too for my Generations Kup (with matching pieces) iGear did a great job of capturing him from AHM. YAY! OLD GRIZZLED KUP!
Now we need a pipe for Perceptor to smoke.
I got one too. It’s really great and adds that extra touch of character to him. I wish more places would do something like this instead of the superfluous stuff that is being put out.

This was what convinced me I needed (needed!) a Sgt Kup sat casually on my bedside table, making broad illustrative guestures. He can’t smoke in the house though- terms of the lease.
