I’m just going to see the film because I like superheroes. Like you said the only GL I really had interest in was from the Justice League animated series. As for the toy I think it would be much cooler if he were red. Not because of anything comic book related but because it would look cooler if he were red.

Agreed. The funny thing Is I really want to like it because it has a great cast.

I haven’t liked the team since after Superboy died. I keep trying to give it a chance.

I gotta admit that fr a book that has “teen” in the title, I thought zombie babies and necrophilia went to far. Great story, but DC needs a “mature reader” label on these types of comics.

Even though I have both figures, I kind of like the skeletor repaint and the rainbow kryptnite. Ooooh, and that comic reprint. I’ve heard they re-colored it. I just hate that its 30 bucks.

He has full range of articulation. Ankle, boot, leg, “DCUC” styled hips, waist, neck, mid-torso, shoulder, elbow, wrist & neck. His movement is stifled by his long skirt and 80′s lady shoulder pads if that is what you mean. Cutting a slit in his skirt or trimming it will help with the hips.

People tend to lump in the return of Hal Jordan with the thousand other half-baked returns from the dead that superhero comics have experienced. The thing is, GL: Rebirth actually a.) told a story, b.) set up a status quo with new story possibilities, and c.) didn’t undo a beloved old story.

Now Flash: Rebirth on the other hand…

I thought Blackest Night was pretty good as long as you stuck to the core GL titles. The non-GL tie-ins sucked, as is usual for this sort of thing. Whenever a crossover centers on one book or closely related group of books, the obligatory tie-ins with books outside of that set are rarely worthwhile.

There’s also the problem that Teen Titans has sucked for years.

But yeah, post-Rebirth is I think the strongest that the GL books have ever been, consistently, as a whole. Sure, there had been great stories like “Mogo Doesn’t Socialize” and “In the Blackest Night”, but those were one-offs.

I definitely recommend buying Sinestro Corp Wars. The best comic book crossovers I’ve ever read. Epic in scale and impact, but not spread to thin over to many books. Lots of twist and cliffhangers with each chapter. Though you will probably need to read Green Lantern Rebirth first to get up to speed on who the players are and why you should care about them.

Blackest Night on the other hand was like most DC crossover/events. Strong start that had an underwhelming ending. Blackest Night Teen Titans spinoff book on the other had was sick on the lever of an old EC comic. People getting their heart’s ripped out on panel, zombie babies, and Beast Boy making out with a corps! No wonder DC is dropping the CCA label. They don’t have any books left that meet their standards. Not even the “Teen” books
