Man, I am freaking out! I’ve never been the Pacific Northwest before, but come Thursday, I’m hopping a plane. Hopefully my books will be there when I arrive, and not half of a blender? *cross fingers*
Please, Washington Staters, do not hurt me! I am but a humble cartoonist.
I’ll be exhibiting this weekend with Blank Label Comics (duh) at booth 210. I will have things with me! You can have them. But, you know, for money.
Argh how did convention season happen so sooooon.

I think you’ll find this fine city quite tame. We are largely a city of slackers. The convention center is a close walk to some really great eats and I hope you get a chance to check out Piroshky, Piroshky and the crumpet place out by the market. Also, say hi to Phil, Kaja, and Cheyenne over at the Girl Genius booth. They’re good people and locals and fun to talk with. If you are looking for touristy things to do, the market is 6 blocks south and the underground tour is fairly fun. There is a good cajun place around the corner from the underground tour that has really good po-boys for lunch, but their dinners are a tad spendy. We pride ourselves on our beer and coffee and I wouldn’t miss either if you are inclined to either.
The best mocha in town (in my opinion) is just down the street from the Convention Center, at Monorail Espresso. Look for idling bike messengers. The actual monorail is a few blocks northwest of there.
You won’t have enough time to see a lot, but you should definitely try to see the Fremont Bridge Troll.
Seattle loves web comic artists. Heck, many started here or have moved here! ECCC has also grown really, really, impressive as a con. It nearly makes me feel bad that I’m going to miss this weekend because I won a trip to New York. Buy hey, trip to NYC!
Heck, it’s my first time there, and I bet I’m in a LOT more danger. :p
Let us know how it works out for you, being the Pacific Northwest.
Pacific Northwest?!?!
*gasp*
Beware the octopus!!
Now you’re gonna feel real bad if the trusty USPS sends you the other half of that blender.
Don’t worry, Seattle isn’t that bad. Just one survival tip, they believe coffee is the God’s gift to mankind. You’ll be burned as a hetetic if you deny this.

Not quit all of us.. Just most
I, for one, am a tea drinker. I just don’t advertise that fact. lol
On another note, have fun in Seattle! It’s a truly fantastic place, good eats and interesting people
Wish I could go, but I didn’t realize when ECCC was until this week
Seattle tea drinkers unite!
Eh, tea drinkers get a pass. You remind us of those oh-so-adorable Canadian chappies up north.
Sadly I’m too poor to make the trip this weekend. Would of been awesome to see you in person Walky and get Vol 2 of Shortpacked signed in person.
Dang, I’m moving there at the end of March so I’ll be missing it. Hopefully you’ll enjoy it enough to warrant an appearance next year, I’ll definately make it a point to be there next year.
I’m so excited for ECCC!
WOOO! Convention season. Glad to see you added C2E2 again to your stops for this next year. Looking forward to getting Shortpacked Vol. 3.
Hopefully it’s not too late to point out that your Emerald City listing under convention appearances points to Wondercon, not the Seattle one…

Hello, Mr. Willis! It was a great pleasure to finally meet you and to support your comic for the first time! Please enjoy the rest of Comicon!
PS Thanks for the autograph, and for recognizing my name. I realized it was me that was posting after all.
