Maybe there's not going to be a bigger Megatron because there's going to be a Galvatron.

Twilight Sparkle Optimus pairs well with the Voyager Megatron from the second movie, though (my only movie Megatron to date; I like his giant lobster claw arm).

Agreed on the temptation to downscale the entire collection. W/ Deluxe Ratchet and Ironhide available, it's only the lack of Cyberverse/Basic Bumblebee-Sideswipe-Jolt that keeps me from re-buying all the movie Autobots, smaller...

Well, he turned into other stuff in the first two movies, and that didn't work out so great for him... I guess he figured "if you can't beat 'im, join 'im."

I like an Earth mode for Megatron– he's hunted now, he has to hide. Hard to do as a flying silver tank.

Not really. While theoretically there is an identical slot on the other shoulder, the tab on the hood is shaped so it won't easily go down into it all the way. And if you could get it down in there, the back edge of the hood tries to occupy the same space as Megatron's head. It's flexible enough that you could get the hood behind his head, but not flexible enough that you could then get the cape back over his shoulder and have it stay there.

When I was talking about the cape, I was talking about the cape as a whole, hood and cape included. I was saying the cape (so the hood part of the cape) can effectively plug as well on the right than on the left shoulder.

Huh. I tried that, and both sides on mine are too thin to support a c-clip, but they don't look malformed to me.

I will say this. Capes are cool. Can't wait to see this Megatron in the movie. Not that I have much hope for the movie.

Also the top bar of his cow-catcher thing can be used for C-clip mounts... kinda. The one I got has a very *slightly* malformed bar on his left shoulder that came out too thin for a C-clip.

No, I've got him right here in front of me. The cape doesn't plug in anywhere on the figure, it plugs into the hood. The hood is the only thing that's secured to the figure itself.

However, the cape does hang nicely on his shoulder kibble. Should be fine if you want to display him that way.

For shame, Walky. You didn't notice they snuck some c-clip mounts in the teeny panels on his hips? (His smokestacks also accept c-clips, but that may be unintentional. The points on his hips have just precisely enough space to fit in there, and there's no reason for there to be holes in the panels otherwise.)
