It depends on how your brain is wired in preferring one side.
One manga artist said they would always photoshop their pages and flip them to let the other half of the brain figure out if something was missing before finalizing anything.
No, he had to draw himself facing the other direction (making him right handed in the initial drawing) and then used digital processing to flip himself on the paper.
This. I was about to say something. It’s like a flat tire facing left, and when she turns right someone comes out with an air compressor and blows those things up.
My drawings have the exact same problem with right-facing characters. It’s just because 3/4 left-facing is the default in my mind for doodles, so that orientation gets more practice than any other. Dunno why that is. Must just be the way you learn to draw that burns the penstrokes for certain human features into your brain, and the reversing those strokes is like trying to write backwards. It’s just plain awkward.
It may have something to do with “muscle memory”. Kind of like bowling right handed your whole life, then trying it left handed and feeling like a total clutz (sp)! Just sayin’?
I have been able to collect dozens of nearly identical panels of webcomics, each panel featuring a female character viewed 3/4 turned to her right, glancing to her left, with a troubled expression on her face.
It’s like the webcomics version of the Dreamworks Face.
90 percent of what I draw is facing left, if not more.. but then.. I also do like.. front-facing for everything human and profile for everything else.. because I am a hack
I’m bad at drawing characters facing right as well. What is it with facing left that makes characters look better?

So, do you draw her facing right and then flip her? That would make me feel way better about my own process!
I’m talking about when I’m drawing Amber freehand. Y’know, without any pencils. Just taking out a pen and drawing her.
When I’m drawing a real strip, and have pencil layouts, the flipping isn’t a problem.
That… that’s what I meant too. Definitely.
Put an “Evil Twin Beard” on Amber’s face-right drawing…and you’ve got a new character!
…now I’m going to notice this every single time I see her.
DAMN YOU WILLIS.
Wait… Willis is left-handed?
FILTHY LIES
[...filthy camera, too]
Since the books and the rest of the crowd are seemingly unblurry, one can only assume the speed of Mercury overtakes Willis when he is commissioned.

Man I have the same problem but reversed. Good at facing the right, shitstorm when facing the left.
She’s facing right in the drawing you did for me, and she doesn’t look wonky there!
I took extra special time to do it.
While drawing facing the other way I can do blindfolded.
I feel it is now my duty to challenge you to that, Willis. Drawing blindfolded, I mean.
How about 4th wall-breaking Amber, facing the viewer?
Actually, I like Right-Facing Amber better. She’s a little more stacked.
This. I was about to say something. It’s like a flat tire facing left, and when she turns right someone comes out with an air compressor and blows those things up.
Dena! I know you!
That is all.
…you need to work on your penmanship Mr. Willis. I almost thought you had an “‘Animated’ lunchbox full of penis” sitting next to you…
Oh my gosh! It’s Amber’s evil, right-facing, not-so-identical twin!
Amber facing right appears to have larger boobs than her reverse twin.
Oh, thank the goddess, I’m not the only one to notice that… >_>

Suddenly the Shortpacked title image is a lot more funnier.
She’s not an ambi-turner!
But we know what will make her feel better! ORANGE MOCHA FRAPPUCCINO!
I thought I was the only one who had problems drawing characters facing right. And I’m not even left-handed.
I got it! So when Amber’s facing right it must actually be Dorothy!
Um, is it wrong that I prefer the drawing of Amber facing right? She looks much more, uh … feral. GRRRRROWWWLLLLL!!!!
“animated lunchbox full of penis”?
PENS Fred. Pens.
Wait. You’re left handed?

Amberdextrous.
Would it be strange if you had problems drawing Faz facing left but not facing right?
how do you pronounce Cintiq… is it like Cinty -Q or cintik?
“sin-teek”
What’s the name of that device, “Cintio”? I’m trying to Google it and all I’m getting are websites in Spanish.
Ohhhh, that’s a “q”. Ne’mind.
