That girl with the pink hair. I like her.
Also, what’s wrong with rats? They’re cute little critters.
Ye Gods! I got a first? Restless Leg Syndrome for the victory!
(It’s 5AM where I am).
Pink hair girl reminds me of raven from questionable content.
Wouldn’t be the first time the QC-folk have made cameos in Shortpacked.
Wouldn’t be the first time there was a resemblance even though they weren’t supposed to be the same characters, either, though. (Ethan and Marten, Amber and Faye, Leslie and Hanners….)
*finger snap* THAT’S who she looks like
Gonna have to say I like the pink too.
Isn’t she that girl from Gen 13?
Well, at least it wasn’t her mum in there… I hope.
I have to admit, I’m kind of disappointed.
Aww… No Stacy to scar Amber forever?
Maybe Stacy’s not afraid of “rats”? Or she just knows a hamster when she sees one…
At least she’s more afraid of Amber.
Would someone photoshop those covers off, please?
What is wrong with you man! Back in my day we just used our imaginations to envision girls naked! :O
Creepy comment is creepy.
There’s nothin’ creepy about askin’ for boobies. NOTHING.
Dude, in this case? Definitely creepy.
Creepy but honest.
well, in that case, could somebody please photoshop away all the censoring from when Faz was naked?
A valiant attempt at proving a good point, but Faz makes everything creepy. “Could someone photoshop Faz wearing a Batman costume?” “Could someone photoshop Faz playing with Tinkertoys?” “Could someone photoshop Faz reading webcomics?”
Someone could totally photoshop Faz talking to Faz instead of Amber in any situation. I don’t know if that would make it awkward, creepy, or funny.
It would be funny(and slightly creepy) if someone took those girls and had them running from Faz.
I think Willis actually draws his comics – has the word ‘photoshop’ replaced the word ‘draw’, or is this a current meme or inside joke here at Shortpacked?
Check out the third frame
those are buttons for the pockets on her shirt. easy to mistake though.
I have a feeling like there was a cameo in there. Like I’ve seen those girls, or at least one of them, before in another comic…
I think the girl with the freckles dated Joe in It’s Walky!
Freefall (Roxy) and Rainmaker…?
That’s where my mind first went.
I’m slightly embarrassed I even remember Gen 13. Or at least, embarrassed by the reasons why I remember it.
That’s what I thought…
I’m getting the deja vu vibe too. They feel like they belong in some other comic.
The one on the far left could be Raven from Questionable Content, but that seems like a stretch.
The girl with the pink hair might be Raven from Questionable Content, but I dunno.
Gah! Ninja’d by a single minute!
I think the one with pink bangs is Zii from Menage a 3
Middle girl kind of reminds me of Dana from Batman Beyond, though I’m not sure why.
I sense it too…
Ok, so Leftie is possibly raven. I had a feeling that Rightie was Kim Ross from Dresden Codak’s comic, but Kim doesnt have any freckles so that’s not her.
None of these girls are anybody.
So… Amber is just halicinating a mass bedroom exodus?
You fool! You could have claimed the one in the middle was Cassanda Cain on the logic “well if DC ain’t gonna use her…”
But one of them looks an awful lot like Raven from QC.
Curses! I could’ve sworn the one leading the path was Meredith.
Oh, thank goodness. I was terrified Faz was in there.
I call crush on “Freckles”!
For a weird moment I thought the one in the center was Dina…
That would be one limber corpse!
Not to mention someone would have had to find all the pieces.
Ok, another weird thought, wasn’t Walky resurrected from some blood?
GAH! Must… not… theorize…. I’m going to bed.
Not blood, exactly, no.
From what I understand, when it comes to resurrecting people, any form of DNA will do. Even though Dina got spattered all across the walls, there should have still been enough DNA to resurrect her.
Of course, this assumes anyone at SEMME cared enough about her to bother.
Canonically, Walky tried (and failed) to resurrect Dinah:
the one in the middle reminded me of the chick that stole Amber’s last boyfriend
Exactly what I was thinking of.
The girl with the pink hair is Raven, no? JACQUESSSS!!!!
Gotta love Amber’s priorities.
Oh Jacob, no. Depressing comic is depressing!
Okay so Jacob has fallen back into at least two addictions (Booze and Boobs) from what I’ve seen. I get the feeling he has got at least one other addiction going on in there too…
If I recall correctly, it was comic books?
Sigh . . . always the folks who can’t appreciate it who get it.
I totally thought of Roxy from Gen 13 when I saw the pink haired girl. The middle one possibly being Rainmaker is also a plus. If only the last one was Fairchild, then my geek reference Nirvana would be complete.
Hey, for those embarrassed they remember Gen 13, I can tel you there were at LEAST 2 really good issues. BOTH written and drawn by Adam Warren, specifically ‘Grunge: The Movie’. I believe Adam wrote more stories for them, but I never read any of those.
>david with a small d
Well, telling the truth would only be seen as bragging…
Warren did a well-received run on the main book, and another mini similar to Grunge the Movie that focussed on Roxy. I can’t remember the title, but it features her as a Sailor Moon style Magical Girl.
Magical Drama Queen Roxy
Thank you! Now I can try to find it again, since I lost my copies in a move…
Stupid bints! I’d be MUCH more scared of a hamster than a rat. Hamsters are evil, uncaring little bastards for whom no joy is greater than biting your flesh and listening to you scream. Rats, on the other hand, are loving little snuggle addicts who can be trained to play fetch with you and use a litter box. I used to work at a pet store and not once did a rat ever bite me. Hamsters, on the other hand… I still carry the scars, both physical and mental… *shudder*
oh god, ME TOO… We would have to pick the dead hamsters out in the morning because they would EAT EACH OTHER. There would be a little dried-up ribcage with the feet attached…
And here I was thinking that Freckles was a guy, which was giving a whole new dimension to Jacob.
Homosexuality in shortpacked? NEVER!
Freckles does look rather androgynous at first glance, but then I noticed she was clutching the sheet to her chest.
Id have no issues if Jacob was yet another cast member who plays on both teams, but I would kind of like freckles girl to be a female.
She is sort of cute. (Though clearly a bit TOO experimental. 2 other women and a dude at once? And that’s just what we SEE. There may have been a hell of a lot more still inside or had already headed home. Only in webcomics. Or what peope used to pay 1.99 a minute to hear on their phones…)
Oh thank God that wasn’t Amber’s Mom running out.
No, because she’s still inside.
That’s my bet. We’ll see soon.
WTF? What was my comment deleted? There wasn’t anything the least bit controversial or confrontational about it.
Wait… after I posted a second time, my first comment re-appeared. Is this some after affect of getting my own Gravatar or something? I’m so confused…
Amber called them all girls.
Wait a minute, what kind of apartment door opens outwards?
One that’s been knocked off its hinges by a stampede of panicked naked women.
A smart one. Doors that open out cannot be kicked in, due to the way door frames are built there is just too much resistance. If that is a metal skinned security door then it would be almost impossible to break into that place.
I like the girl with the pink hair. Maybe Galasso should hire her.
What’s with all the embarrasment about “remembering” Gen 13?
Notice I don’t take issue with the embarrasment part, though I like Gen 13. My issue is with the remembering part, as the comic is still being published.
And that’s clearly Roxy “Freefall” Spaulding. Kudos Willis!
It’s not. I don’t even know what Gen 13 is.
The sequel to Gen 12 and the prequel to Gen 14.
Roxy’s not Chinese.
For that matter, neither is Raven from QC.
I will never feel shame for reading a character once written and drawn by Adam Warren. Shameless fan is shameless.
I’m really diggin’ Pink-Streaks and Freckles, but Amber is still the most attractive Shortpacked! Girl.
Why is there no love for tall girl? David, all of your other fans are short people. I am sorry to break this to you.
I’m a short person and the tall one’s my “favorite.”
I’m digging the tall one too.
This is surprisingly comforting to hear.
You called that three asian girls would come running out of the door? O_o
You are very specifically clairvoyant.
The level of Asian lookingness (“Asianess” ? ) is pretty subtle to me. Amber looks more so than any of them as far I can tell.
Freckles not at all.
Pink hair maybe, if that is her normal expression, looks more like someone who is bearing down, any ethnic type to me.
Middle gal is brownish, without reference that could be a tan, hispanic, etc.
If it wasn’t for the punchline (re need for Asian clerks) I would have guessed a rainbow selection.
‘course this may be just the first of many waves coming out the door. Reminds me of my youth.
Are they all related to Amber? Plus is Amber’s Mom in there too?
Plus, is Roz dead?
I love that Willis himself has said that these girls are no one specific yet people are still speculating on who they are.
Word of God means nothing
Rejecting the intentional fallacy, how deconstructionist of you.
Are they all half Korean?
…what’s Roxy from Gen13 doing banging Jacob?
Zero G-Spot, the way only someone with Gravity Manipulation can.
Grunge or Jacob, which would you choose?
They’re all girls? I thought the one with freckles was a dude. Except for the whole “covering the boobs” thing.
I…like this page alot.
hire them, hire them, hire them!!!!!!
Pinkie is like a grown-up Miko.
