By the way, what does Stacy mean by “blankity-blank” daughters? Not sure if that’s a US reference I’m missing. All it does for me is make me think of a 90s gameshow.
It’s like swearing without actually saying the swears. Just imagine the “blankity-blank” parts are her self-censoring herself.
Stacy is one of those folks who is afraid of words. She sees cursing as a sign of low breeding. She feels violently strong emotion and wants to say the words but won’t permit herself to. So she resorts to saying “blankity blank” instead of a healthy, “Sonabitchin’ fucktard” or something equally as cathartic.
I prefer to think of “blankety-blank” as the ultimate insult – it’s like in Jaws; nothing you can say will be as bad as what they can fill in from their imagination.
When I level a stern look at someone and say “You blankety-blank!”, they just quail. Quail, I say!

What exactly is it that McAwesomes do?

Filling in the blanks from there seems simple enough.

Looking back at this strip the thing I like the most about this revelation is that it started out as what looked like a random throw-away punchline that wouldn’t go anywhere.
Explains the similarity in hair/head shape, especially post-makeover. Ingenious.
