The guy who bags my groceries at Save-On Foods looks JUST like Simon Pegg. Alas, the guy has no idea who Simon Pegg is, so there goes my hopes for him dressing up as Sgt Nick Angel in the climax for Hallowe’en. Or as Shaun.

Unless he remembered the name and got curious and looked up the movies I mentioned… but I kinda doubt that will happen, somehow.

Script Proposal: angered by demands that his character be retired in honor of Heath Ledger, the Joker secretly funds a fandom wide “cosplay as Simon Pegg disguised as the Joker” contest, with the best 3 at each con going to the finals at Worldcon. The final winner gets a Joker themed bedroom makeover. Except (hahahahahahaha!) every contestant is slipped a delayed acting neurotoxin so that the day after the final, they all drop dead. Except the winner, who wakes up in the Joker’s cell in Arkham. Naturally, the winner turns out to be Simon Pegg, who couldn’t resist the challenge of impersonating himself.
