I always thought that was part of the reason the Decepticons never killed Spike – they could always rely on him to bring the same tape deck with a Decepticon symbol on it into the Autobot base, no matter how many times he saw Soundwave. Spike, quite clearly, has/had mental issues. lol

I always wished this would happen in the comics, like Spike brings Soundwave into the base (any of the millions of times) and he just transforms and squishes him
