I had this entire week (and most of next week) written before I was even sure Dinobot was going to make it into the five nominees. It was a very very very lucky guess, based on what we knew about the votes sent in.
At one point, when Dinobot hadn’t shown up yet by the fourth day, I had started potential rewrites…
Of course, the “squatting” line got threw in after that fifth day, when my bacon was saved.
I think Soundwave was the only Pat Lee art in that line up. Shockwave, Jazz and Grimlock all look like Don Figueroa’s work from Dreamwave’s More Than Meets The Eye profile book (the hands with the vents on the back of them are a signature thing he used to do before every other TF official artist started doing them).
links never work from the RSS feed posts! I always have to come over here to use any of them (like the sweet, sweet Dinobot poster link – thanks for that, BTW).
Honestly, I know this was already done more or less, but why doesn’t Robin just flash reporters again? Or make out with Leslie, all lick-ity style? I’m pretty sure a majority of the people would re-elect her for that fact alone.
BTW: Robin is a California Senator right? I mean, the whole strip takes place in San Francisco CA, if I’m correct since we’re always seeing subtle SF landmarks in the story, and Ethan mentioned the state being bankrupt and stuff. But I don’t think it’s ever been actually stated, has it?
Robin is in the House, not the Senate. Willis can’t ‘hide’ a fake Senator in the two per state, whereas as I suspect you’re right about the landmarks, she can easily lurk in the metric buttload of California Representatives.
Well, she can lurk until she flashes the press, or engages in lesbian liplock. Good thing this is the same alternate reality that had an alien invasion ‘mysteriously overlooked’ by the press. Probably because they were occupied by flashing or lesbians.
Going for the one vote might not be an entirely bad idea, from a public perspective. It shows loyalty, compassion for someone else’s goals, and dedication to a cause that isn’t your own. I’d vote for someone with those qualities.
We know this isn’t true, but it could certainly look that way if you weren’t privy to her personal life.
Glad to be of service. Though I suppose bitching about Transformers continuity is kinda like shooting fish in a barrel.
The real crime, actually, is that the “Transformers Timeline” on Hasbro’s site turns out to be movie continuity. Hello?? How can two feature films worth of history trump like a bajillion cartoons or a half-bajillion comics?
*Gasp* the forbidden arc. I have to admit, it wasn’t one of my faves. But here’s hoping supporting Dinobot gets Robin some votes.
So if Hot shot get’s nominated next year, will we get a “Let’s get Hot Shot Into the hall of fame” storyline?
Nah. Ethan doesn’t care about Hot Shot nearly as much as I do.
It’s good that your main characters don’t necessarily agree with your own views. That can be a huge obstacle for some comics.
Yesterday I mentioned, on Twitter, that Dinobot was the only one with non-Pat Lee art, and then you use that as a joke in a strip…
Hmmm…
I’M WATCHING YOU.

Awww. And I felt proud…
You’re mean.

MTMTE was unfortunately among Don’s worst work.
It’s understandable. He had to crank out like 100 dudes!
Actually, Soundwave is probably Alex Milne’s work. Regardless, they’ve all been butchered to look like Pat Lee’s.
Way to go, Leslie!
I always wondered why there weren’t any gynobots …
Ah, the Dreamwave art jokes never get old.
I voted for dinobot, you’re welcome.
I LOVE that poster.
And here’s Leslie again as the voice of reason (who is promptly ignored).

Ah Robin… how does she get anything done?

Although the real representative in Robin’s district is kinda high profile.
Returning to her roots? Awesome.

The best part about this storyline is it reminds me to vote every day . . . . . for Jazz.
Me loves irony.
Whoops – didn’t realize that taglike content gets formatted away.
To see the irony in question, look at the icon you ended up with…
I know, and it’s cool. It’s not that I don’t like Dinobot, I just like Jazz more. Of course, if Sky-Byte had been nominated, he’d get my daily vote.
Jazz fraking rocks!!!!
Well to be fair, Jazz looks like he is jumping over an invisible toilet.
I totally want that Dinobot backgroudn picture as a wallpaper.
The heck with as a Wallpaper, I want it as a poster. A large Poster. Yesterday.
Delivered by Pony – which I get to keep.
I would have thought that Leslie would have dressed up for a campaign rally.
did you expect her to go nekid?
“GRIMLOCK fought his way through the gladiatorial pits underneath Kaon to become one of the greatest warriors on CYBERTRON.”
That is the WORST typo for “was built on Earth by Wheeljack following a trip to the Natural History museum” that I’ve ever seen.
I say! Bravo, suh, bra-vo!

I assumed Ethan was the figurehead of the Nick Roche cult before Robin’s line.
Is Robin unaware that the House terms are only 2 years? Or was she actually reelected to a 2nd term?!
She has been reelected. She showed her boobs out of her apartment balcony. It worked.
So Shortpacked is real-time, then? That would mean, among other things, that Ethan has worked there for 7 years now. Poor schlub.
It kinda has to be real time, or at some point Ethan never grew up during the original Transformers, which would probably cause some havoc.
Sell us that poster. We will buy it.
Have you seen these? (stickers) They have the poster, too

First thing I thought of when I saw your poster. Love them all.
I voted for Grimlock.
I’ve read through the entire archives and now I know what the Arc-That-Must-Not-Be-Named is!
Still waiting for Leslie’s point on the Ethan not being a typical American thing.
