I just noticed how what you grew up with depends not only on your age, but also on the country you lived in. Here in Brazil, for example, we still have that 80′s D&D cartoon on public-access television. And it’s awesome.

I think the intent involved lies we use for no other reason than to not make everything awkward forever. Social graces sort of lying. You might have lied about things at a young age, but not specifically to spare someones feelings. My mother will tell anyone who will listen the story of how I once asked why some random woman was so fat, repeatedly and in increasing volume when she wouldn’t answer me.

Something like that when you’re older would be seen as malicious, but a little kid is just saying something that they don’t understand is wrong, since it’s so obvious.

I must be weird because I grew up with Transformers and He-Man (plus ThundercAts and Silverhawks and Visionairies) then I grew up with Ninja Turtles, BattleToads and Biker Mice from Mars.. Then in middle school, I watched Power Rangers and VR Troopers, Big Bad Beetle Borgs (Metallix), and Masked Rider.. HS was Anime.. Tiny bit of Pokemom, but mostly like Digimon, Sailor Moon, Fushigi Yuugi, Tenchi Muyo and what not.
