Forget the Cybernet Space Cube, what about the DVDs?

Nothing makes me go obsessed fanboy quite like how G.I.Joe, The Transformers, Jem have been butchered on DVD by Rhino and Shout! Factory.

I imagine that’s mostly the network’s fault. I’m quite satisfied with my Mystery Science Theater 3000 DVDs.

Not sure about GI Joe or JEM, but I know Transformers was not intentionally butchered. I didn’t see any problems with my JEM DVDs but I also haven’t watched the series since it came on when I was a child.. Same with Transformers.. Now if you want to talk about INTENTIONALLY butchered.. Let us talk about what companies like DiC and 4Kids have done to Anime like Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura (renamed Cardcaptors) or Ojamago Doremi or even Tokyo Mew Mew.. Now THAT is butchering.

I only watched one episode of the Space Cube’d Transformers. I just could not stand it. I was like eight at the time, but even then it seemed like a really cynical attempt to distract kids with tacked-on CGI.

Not exactly sure how delegating a show to a noon-time slot, not bothering to promote it and refusing to make anymore episodes as “treating it right”.
