BotCon online registration finally went up today at about 4:30. So, hey. Congratulations, everybody! You’re out $300, just like you always wanted.
A week ago I asked about me maybe going to TFCon. Well, here’s an alternate idea. I went to Canada’s GIJoe convention last year, and they want me back! As a guest again! And it’s two weeks later in the same town (Toronto). Would that be amenable? It’s a smaller show, but a fun one. I would love to go back.
(Remember to vote for Dinobot.)

Go to Joecon, we don’t want your fugliness at TFcon. Then again…… Maggie is all the fugly you need.
Oh, hello, solfury@tfw2005.com. Keepin’ it classy, I see.Yeah, that’s the TFW2005/Hisstank charm we all know and love. Nothing but grace and dignity from those guys.
“His stank”?
Yep, pretty much.
Funny, Sol is the last person to behave like that…
very likely wasnt sol fury. anyone can put “solfury@tfw2005.com” in the e-mail field.
Well, whoever it is, they’re from Montreal, according to their IP address.
Aha. And Sol Fury is from the UK!. Well, apologies to Sol Fury, then. Stupid me, believing what trolls say.
Good to see this cleared up. When I saw Walky’s comment I WTFed as Sol Fury is one of the last people on the boards I would ever expect to say something like that – it’s completely out of character for him.
‘Tis always neat to meet fans that I haven’t met before at conventions but who I know of. If you get a chance, feel free to pop up to TFcon and snag yourself a Nightbird!
Sol Fury wouldnt behave like that. Someone just put his e-mail address down in that field. anyone can do it.
What is wrong with you?
You should come to Winnipeg Comic-Con when it rolls around. We’d appreciate you properly! AND we have class. Sometimes. Class and ice cream…
Hmmm. Are they offering airfare? Winnipeg sounds delightful, but it’s a 20-hour drive.
And ice cream is waaaay more important than class, I’m sure we can agree.
Airfare I can’t guarantee. But if you come to a Canadian con, there better be frozen dairy involved! Everyone but the above hater is invited. He can have a soggy half-pickle.
He’s already got a soggy half-pickle. HEYO
I’m not out $300 like I always wanted, nor can I afford to be.
Come to JoeCon. It was fun meeting you last year and this year will only be better!
Mego’s right – come to Winnipeg
TFCon is actually a decent shebang. It’s no Botcon, but the dealer room is decent and the Canadian Hasbro people are pretty cool and open. And there’s no shortage of restaurants across the street.
Haha so true Susp, Mcdonalds, Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell, Harverys (Canadian chain), Mr. Sub AND Seven-Eleven all within spitting distance of the DEALER ROOM.
Yes please do! My son and a friend of his would love to meet you. They have read volume 1 and 2 and are hooked!
I promise to buy something from you! Will you have volume 3 for sale?
Did you ever get your Battle Beast at C2E2?
To clarify, I meant to JoeCon…………
Come to the JoeCon. It was good to meet you last year and I still laugh when I think about my Mom looking at the books you signed for me and seeing Mike make a Your Mom joke. Good times.
Heyyyyy—-he made a Mike and my mom joke too….
Hey Walky, did you know that another TF character made it into a poll? Strika is contending for the Fandom Hot 20 awards:

I reaaally wished I liked GI Joe more
Registered for my first BC since Rakshacon ’95, huzzah.
(I find it hilarious that for a non-TF Club member like myself-until-this-afternoon, it was actually $30 cheaper overall to sign up for the Club and then register for the ‘con. You’d think with a $70 con discount the membership would be at least $80.)
