Huh, kind of neat. Human characters aren’t doing it for me, but the bots are refreshingly not what I expected. There’s not too much of a movie vibe in here except for ‘bee and Prime.

    It looks all fairly video-gamey.

Surprised how much I like these. Even the brief animated clip was pretty darn cool. Wish they’d shown more and hope the writing is as good as the designs.

Interesting designs. Like ‘Jumper’s horns…but no alt mode for Ratchet?

All right! Ratchet is an Action Master now.

So the humans are in CG too. Good. It’s hard to mesh cel and CG. Unless you are Iron Giant.

Jack Darby? Jack Darby?!?! That’s SOOOOO not a TF human buddy name. Not NEARLY crazy enough. He needs to be called Jac D’arbay, at the very least.

Arcee isn’t pink? What madness is this?!

I dig the Prime designs. They’ve got a sort of feel like they’re the good bits of G1+Animated+Movie stuck in a blender.

Animated and Movie I get, but where do you see G1 in those designs?
Other than being the basis from which both animated and the movie drew their inspiration I mean.

The designs look good, I am excited to see what they do with the show. Animated is a tough act to follow…

They’re chunkier designs than the movies – more hidden behind plating. And Prime is red with blue legs.

I wish they showed off Starscream. I hope when they do show him he looks like the Transformers: Hero design they showed in the Allspark Almanac. That jet mode was sexy and the robot mode was a nice cross between Armada and G1.

You should be suspicious. If we’re not careful, we’ll wake up one morning and find that we’re all hispanic. Look at Animated! I watched that for a couple of years and then I suddenly became Indian. The worst thing that ever happened when I watched G1 was that I wore a yellow hat all the time.

So? What’s wrong with that? Can you tell me how that harms you, having a kid with a Hispanic name on the show? Is the experience going to be ANY different? And if not, who cares? In what circumstance, please tell me, is it OKAY to have a Hispanic in a cartoon?

Frankly, having a show full of entirely WASPY white dudes in this day and age is friggin’ embarrassing.

            Racist stereotyping?

I could see that being his(?) concern.

Yeah, given the claim of ‘political correctness’, I kinda hafta think the character being potentially stereotypical (which concern is significantly allayed by the actual character design, anyway) is the issue.

They’re not trying to be politically correct, they’re trying to sell toys.
Kids are more likely to watch the half hour commercial, I mean, cartoon, if there is a character they can identify with, so the cartoon has a ratially diverse human cast- we’ve got a white male, a hispanic male, and an asian female – and this upsets you? What, are only White, Anglo-Saxon Prodestant Males allowed to enjoy / but transformers where you come from?

Did NOT notice the other kids. I’m gonna go ahead and take a mulligan here. (Let’s face it, Carlos Lopez just left a taste in everyone’s mouth)

For the record, if the show took place in Detroit, for example, I’d be pretty upset unless all the characters were black.
