As a kid who grow up with Toonami, I can tell you that EVERYONE I knew watched Thundercats as kids. Cartoon Network kept it on for quite a long time, even after it's Toonami removal, and the DVD sales were very high.

This comic is just blatantly offensive to my generation. He's a boy who grew up in the 90s, therefore he watched Toonami everyday religiously no matter what they were showing him. Just how it worked.

I second that - I'm 23 and my brother's 20, and we both watched thundercats on Cartoon Network when we were kids.

I can't help but laugh as well. Even though I enjoyed the thundercats at the time. Something about being a hanna barbara property kept the dvd sets unappealing.

Its really robot chicken and family guy skits that even keeps the show as a pop culture foot note in the US.

More true in the UK than the US perhaps; in the UK Thundercats is well known enough to have standup comics make jokes about it.

Y'know, as a 90's kid, I've found that Thundercats is actually really well known among the generation thanks to the Toonami reruns.

Calling it a long-lasting cult hit is still pretty laughable, though.
