This is according to their brand manager, Scott Neitlich. He's the Devil compared to Aaron Archer, whom many may cast as the Devil at some time in history but at least Hasbro can deliver their products to customers without going through this much trouble. That meant you could afford to order him at times other than within five to ten minutes of the sale opening. The screen referenced in this comic usually only appears for about the first hour of a sale day, and it's intended to keep their servers from getting killed. The trouble is, it's most definitely <i>not</i> a first in, first out situation. You can load the page on a separate computer after the first is in the refresh queue, and sometimes you get in sooner. You can also occasionally manually refresh and it'll go through. So, like the comic says, you effectively get punished if you follow the directions on the page. I never really had an issue with their autorefresh since they added it. The thing that's gotten me before was the website randomly thinking certain items don't exist so you can't check out. I missed out on a Trap Jaw in the time it took them to realize that Man-At-Arms actually was supposed to be for sale. My condolences.
