Define “normal people”? Because the only Transformers series that hasn’t shown Cybertron was Robots in Disguise. If you’ve ever seen anything Transformers, you’ve seen Cybertron. And if you haven’t, why do you care about this game in the first place? You’re certainly not the “Transformers fans” who’ve been “demanding to see Cybertron” that the guys who make this thing are aiming at.
I’d say the ‘normal person’ would be the one who knows most of their Transformers mythos from the movies, which didn’t show much of Cybertron outside of a flashback or two. I think the game is being designed with TF fans in mind, but the promotional push indicates they’re aiming beyond our numbers.
ethan for got the original transformers animated movie and the new one they show the Matrix being shot into space and the prequel comic takes place entirely on Cybertron
also several episodes of Transformers Animated including an entire episode showing the backstory of Bulkhead Hotshot and Waspinator
Ethan seems bitter – someone should tell him to lighten up and enjoy the game that some of us won’t be able to play because we don’t own a system that’ll run it.
I thought the boasting point was the whole bit about WFC being the first to show the beginning of the war, rather than being the first to show Cybertron..?
I’m just a TF fan and not a serious geek about it (except for Animated, ‘cuz come on) but off the top of my head: Orion Pax the Librarian and Megatron the Miner call shenanigans. The beginning of the factional war has also been done to death, even if it usually only gets a momentary flashback.
Alright, missing all of the other stuff is inexcusable, but you can’t blame them for forgetting about Beast Machines. God knows I want to.
Maybe this version of Cybertron has never been seen before? Even though it looks exactly like the others…
And you forgot the movie prequel comics, and the flashback bit in the first movie.
And bits and pieces of Animated.
I left more things out than I can count, but I think the point is made nonetheless.
Right, but for normal people, this’ll be the first time they’ve seen it.
Which is weird, because the game isn’t being promoted to normal people that much, yet. (And Beast Machines was awesome.)

The movie was part of the original series and people have already said everything else you said.
Also, Hotshot?
SHAAAAAAAAME.

You seem to have a computer…
I love how some dude commented at TNI about how nobody’s ever heard of those comics.
You know, since the original cartoon, Beast Machines, and the UT are a bunch of obscure comic books.

I think they may have meant hasn’t been done in a video game. Or at least been playable in a video game.
