While the masses get increasingly restless as BotCon is roughly one month away with no preregistration yet, we do get some raw meat thrown down to us. A few days ago we got to see Clench! He’s Onslaught with a new head, in sparkly dark blue and bright pink. This means he’s awesome.
We also got to see this year’s convention shirt, which glows in black light. I’ve sworn off black BotCon shirts, since I just have too damn many, but I probably can’t resist a G2 blacklight shirt. I mean, c’mon.
What we don’t get is BotCon preregistration three months ago.
I’m gettin’ up early today for my trip to WildPig II in New Jersey. Guess who I’m road-tripping with? Why, none other than Randy Milholland, because I’m pretty much on his way from Texas, so why not?We’re gonna pile up in his truck and godspeed ourselves to Springfield.
We may headbang.
You and Milholland? On a road trip? Hah, that’ll be something. You’ll probably end up in Mexico missing an organ or two. The last thing you’ll remember is Milholland saying “hey, let’s stop in the next town, I know a place,” and the last thing he’ll remember is you saying “oh, that drink sounds awesome, I gotta try it.”
Careful he dosen’t pick up George Bush Sr or Jr along the way. I voted for Grimlock/duinobot as well

Why would they pick up Bushes along the way? I don’t think Connecticut is between Ohio and New Jersey.
I love the way Willis draws Milholland as some kind of truck-drivin’ sasquatch. I can’t decide whether that’s better or worse than the way Milholland draws Milholland as a “Webcomics Pioneer”.
And of course I parsed the last sentence without the ‘head’. And it didn’t really phase me.
And to think we thought last year’s registration time frame for Botcon was cutting it close…
