I think the trick is to pop the hood off first. THEN try it. That's what I did - and it worked fine :)

It's worked fine since!

Same here. Fortunately my coworker had experienced it before me, and happily lent me a screwdriver to fix it (I had it shipped to work for display at my desk).

Honestly, if this was a factory oversight, I'd be pretty upset to get a pinhead TF after spending $60-$90 for him. Heck, even if it isn't a factory mistake, and FP messed up, I'd still be pissed. That's a lot of money for a severely disproportionate figure.

You do have to swap the fists. I don't bother, since it's not terribly noticeable.

Do you have to swap the fists when you go from Punch to Counterpunch, or did Fun Publications remold them?

What were the first two incidents of the factory knowing better?

I find it odd that FunPub has no recourse here. They get things right and the other party screws up. They should have to fix it. It's not like this is a $10 toy anymore...

That was DEFINITELY not true with mine. I tried that very thing multiple times before giving up. Every single time the roof would pop right out of joint rather than fix anything.

Actually - you can pretty much just hold his head in place and twist the roof back. It'll force the gears to align without undoing any screws at all. 5 seconds tops - worked wonders for me :)

And seriously - how come Takara/Tomy/Hasbro doesn't have these problems with the factory guys? I'm beginning to think FunPub just blames things they screwed up on the factories...

That's one awesome looking car mode. The blue and black is a nice colour combo...better than the other decos of the mold. (I love Sunstreaker, he's one of my favourites, but he's not got the most aesthetic colour scheme ever devised.)
