Do the charities actually have dueling views? I’ve never heard of Give Kids The World having an opinion on Beast Wars in the first place.

I applaud you, David. Do not fall into Tom Croom’s traps. His middle name is ‘self promotion’… usually by causing drama and trying to destroy people and conventions that don’t agree with the way he wants things. I’ve dealt with him for years and can attest that he THRIVES on the attention.

Since Botcon didn’t want him, he posts such a negative review that everyone just HAS to read it and then comment on his site, building up his ego.

He doesn’t want to explain why he thinks Beast Wars sucks so he gives you two alternatives: 1) go to one of his panels… which makes him look more popular. 2) donate to his charity… in HIS name… which makes him look better and gives him another tick on his resume “Oh look, I raised over $250 for this charity.”

Kudos for seeing through his trap. Kudos for not falling for his crap. (Hey, it rhymed!). And keep up the great work!

I would hope people donate to BOTH dueling views charities over the next week. Then on Tuesday, July 27th we can see both the “Pro” Beast Wars and the “Against” Beast Wars argument.
