A suggestion for those extra accessories:

If the gear isn't too big, and you don't need to display it next to the figure, WalMart has translucent plastic tackle-boxes with removable dividers so you can adjust the size of each compartment.

For the few really neat accessories you want to display next to the figure, or for things too big to fit in the tackle box, places like The Container Store and many craft stores have various sizes of clear plastic box with removable lids, but they do cost more.

(Me, I LOVE those tackle boxes--translucent plastic, maybe 10" x 14" x 1.5", with removable lids; I sold loose 12" figues & gear at various sf conventions for about a decade, and the boxes were perfect for sorting out GI Joe handguns, grenades, small plastic animals, Barbie shoes, little toy dishes and MRI's... I could just remove the covers and stack 'em on the table, and people would browse through them.)

He could always buy the <a href="http://www.articulateddiscussion.com/post/Review-Marvel-Universe-Luke-Cage.aspx" rel="nofollow">Marvel Universe Luke Cage</a> toy and use that hat, if the heads fit.

That got real fun, when a hobby knife was introduced. You could open up more arm holes. My Dr. Mindbender had three arms.

I remember buying one of those accessory packs back in the day! Then again, we mostly just took apart our figures ('cause of that screw in their back, y'know? Major selling point for us for GI Joe) and put them back together with weird limb combinations. I have no idea where any of that stuff is now...

My theory is Hasbro knows fans want accessory packs like back in the day but they can't/won't do them anymore. Their solution is packing tons of extra stuff with each figure so you can share it across the line. It doesn't quite fit the same role as an accessory pack, allowing you to have specific duplicates of other figure's stuff, but it's close.

I just have a medium-sized box labled "Joe Accessories".

Oh, and I think the "ooze" gun is the nanomite gun.

Hate to be that guy, but technically, that's an auger, not a drill. He can use it to make holes in ice for ice-fishing!

Yeah the new Joes are very accessory heavy. Personally I think it's pretty cool. You'd probably like the new Snow Job his huge backpack has a bunch of holes that pretty much all the ton of accessories can plug into. And hey, actual "in-scale" ski's for the first time ever. They look huge!
