Don't have a Hardhead (or any other version of the mold), so I can't take him apart and see, and, am thus curious...how does the new head actually lock in to the body?

Hey Walky, I stopped pestering you for a while, but since you're talking about third party transformers, would you mind helping out the third party transformers wiki?

It would be greatly appreciated. We don't even have a page for Duro-5 here!

I think the hands are supposed to be compatible with Lego Mini Figures' weapons, and their <a href="http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/303582-exciting-new-headrobots-hothead-update-backwards-compatible-g1-5.html#post4804858" rel="nofollow">off-brand equivalent</a>.
Actually, Duro-5's hands may be compatible with the 3mm peg system...it's just that Darkmount's handles are a shade thicker than 3mm. You won't get stress marks on official 3mm clips by attaching them to Darkmount's handles, but it's a noticeable tighter fit, and would certainly cause problems for third-party toys.

Very awesome indeed. Only reason I haven't ordered one myself is that I still need a Universe Hardhead for it... never came out in Canada even though I wanted one :(
