Yeah it got canceled after ABC didn’t think Season 8′s fantastic and touching and all around good ending was enough so they gave it a 13 episode spin off and called it season 9 oh it also sucked.
You guys do realize that the name of Starbuck in the original BSG was probably a name-drop reference type thing to Moby Dick, right?
I mean, even when scifi was chees(..ier?), they still liked to include little literary bits once in a while. Forbidden Planet for instance includes freakin’ Shakespeare references (I think to The Tempest if I’m not mistaken?). Heck, the ORIGINAL scifi as it were, Mary Shelley’s “Frankstein”? Was subtitled “A Modern Prometheus”, which references way the heck back to ancient Greek myth.
It’s not at all impossible for it to be a reference to both things. Or, by referencing one, accidentally referencing the other.
“And so, Ronald Reagan left the short packed crew to travel through time and space. Because wherever beliefs are down, wherever morals are low, and wherever lesbians are still locked in the closet, there will be RONALD REAGAN!!!!!!”
The look Reagan gives ties in nicely with what I’ve been saying since I saw the finale- Starbuck’s Batman. Shippers were still pissed, but the cast laughs
um u kinda half posted this in the last comic
If this strip had been canceled in the first season, it would have been revealed that Ronnie was just a figment of Robin’s imagination.
…Wait, that’s something else.
Did scrubs get canceled? Cause I never see that on anymore.

Such a great end to the storyline. Especially the last panel.
So does this mean FDR is gone from McAwesome’s?
Either that or there are now two of him to make up for the absence.
FDR was never at McAwesome’s he was in the Axis of Something who were only formed to combat Shortpacked
No, that was Walter Mondale. FDR definitely works at McAwesomes.
Is Regan now at McAwesome’s?
You know, my favorite part of this particular strip is the title. I really liked Moby Dick and I can totally feel the connection here.
Are you joking, or did you actually not get the reference?
Poe’s law.
It’s from Battlestar Galactica. And I, too, love the title.
Um.
