   Actually, Mike, you aren’t a sociopath. Just an ass.

   A sociopath is incapable of feeling empathy, with some evidence in recent years suggesting that (at least in adults) it is a physical incapability in the brain, with actual portions of the brain that are associated with empathy being pretty much inactive in them.

   Drunk!Mike proves Mike is capable of empathy, he just chooses not to use it most of the time… while sober.

   Choosing to be an asshole isn’t sociopathy. It may well be a whole other disorder, which may or may not fit a description or two somewhere in the DSM (which I don’t feel like digging out and rummaging through hundreds of pages of at 1 AM), but it’s certainly not actual sociopathy. Not as current standards are set, IIRC.
