I’ve read all of “It’s Walky” and “Joyce and Walky” long before I’d ever found “Shortpacked!”. Thus, I have gained a certain understanding of how Mike operates, and what to expect from him.
The cumulative effect is that the penultimate panel is the single scariest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. It will haunt me for the rest of my life.
I’ve decided he doesn’t act any different while drunk. He pretends so because:
Your mom
(Seemingly) gives him a weakness
Gives other people a false sense of security
It is plausible.
My thought process as I read this comic:
1) Oh god, they have a lesbian pond.
2) Oh god, they have a -caramel- pond.
3) Oh my god, which one do I chooooose?
4) Damnit, why can’t they be the same pond?
5) OH GOD YES. THE ARROWS POINT TO THE SAME SPOT!
